Wet BBQ at its best!!!!!!!!

I got to watching some Food Network and they were previewing all this yummy bbq. And I started to CRAVE BBQ! Little did I know I have a great bbq place right around the neighborhood from where I live!

This place hits the mark! Wow...I mean...WOW.....I love the pork ribs all slathered in bbq sauce! For $13.50, you get a plate load of food! I ordered the pork ribs, I got huge portions of the ribs including two sides and 4 slice of bread. My sides were Cole Slaw and Greens..Yum! I ended up making my own memphis style pork sandwich with the 4 slice of bread they provided, topped with the cole slaw and my pork meat!

The sauce was soo finger licking good I couldn't help but dip my sandwich in the sauce and gobbled it up! The sauce can be done mild, medium and hot. I ordered medium spicy and it was just right!

Let me just say...if you are in the mood to eat some finger licking BBQ, this place CAN'T BE MISSED.

It's soooo scrumptious!!!

• Pros: Huge Portions, GREAT Food! Cheap eats!
• Cons: Neighborhood look a little shady, the joint can use a facelift

BBQ to make the South proud!

I love my BBQ. So far there aren't a lot of places in SF that are worth the time, even if they are right next door. Johnson's is freaking great!! It is a drive from my office (in the Mission), but definitely worth it! The whole office gets excited when we go. It is, bar none, the best BBQ I have tasted in SF and surrounding areas. A few places are better,--but they were in Memphis, TN. You won't be disappointed!

Juicy ribs and links draw serious barbecue fans to this traditional, no-frills joint on the far side of Bernal Hill.

When it comes to giant, juicy ribs, Johnson's might be the best barbecue in San Francisco. In the great barbecue-joint tradition, most customers get their food to go at this nondescript storefront. The working-class crowd comes mostly from Bayview or Bernal Hill, and they're serious about barbecue. The no-frills decor features a chipped Formica counter, with built-in red Naugahyde seats.

You Have Missed the Best

It may be a drive for some, but worth every mile. This place is all about barbecue and if you want hot sauce, they will melt your mouth! It is one of those great SF secrets, so stay away, it means more for me!
