Best Neighborhood Bar in SF
by Smitty101
A fun, friendly neighborhood tavern with decent street parking on Bay and right by the Embarcadero. Great beers and cocktails, and a friendly crowd! No food, but they have a huge binder of menus for restaurants who deliver.
- Pros: 32 oz beers, Feels like Cheers
- Cons: Small back patio

Great eighborhood Bar with TV, Dat
by tsiniran
I lived in the neighborhood for almost 6 years and the bar was our regular meeting place for Friday evenings. We had so many happy memories from that place. We had our 'New Year' party at the place where we melted tin and showed it to cold water to see the future and our farewell party (with the 'black stuff') was held also there. The personnel in the bar has always been nice and made us feel welcome.
I'll quit my job to move back to S.F. just to hang out!

What a home I found! Nick M., Nichole, Pauly, Laurie, Nick F., Coop, Boston Dan, Al, Chuck, Weird Paul, and Darwin. Where else can you have a 1$ Busch beer and talk to a San Jose P.D. cop or an Ex Alcatraz convict. The place took me back to 87 and the band ?The Out Field? and their song ?Play Deep!? The Chili cook off has a great memory. Who knows what happens upstairs, if your cool, you just might find out! Screw the person "ALEXWORDEN" who gave A bad review.
- Pros: Donovan
- Cons: Donovan has been gone for 10 months!

this place is a great place to spend a sunday afternoon watching football. They barbque on the patio and have a great friendly crowd hanging out all the time but it's never too crowded.
- Pros: neighborhood bar
How can you not love this place???

This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots. You can watch sports, drink beer, chill on the patio and play a board game. The bartenders are always very friendly and the crowd is mellow. My boyfriend loves to meet me here. The drink prices are very reasonable and there are usually bar seats or table seats available. The internet jukebox is great as well.
- Pros: Friendly people, patio, good drinks
- Cons: none!
great place to grab a beer
by audreyjl
I live really close to this place and it's the perfect neighborhood bar. Any of my friends that we've brought over have enjoyed themselves. It's super laidback with games and snacks and a fun crowd. My boyfriend goes over all the time to visit with the locals and watch sports games with the boys.
- Pros: chill spot, snacks, connect 4!

I love this Bar. I have lived in Fishermans warf for a year now, and have only stumbled into this place a few times. I finally had the pleasure of meeting the owners and now i am a regular. It never gets to packed and everyone is there to have a good time. Also a great spot for sunday Football... 4 TV's im sure one of them will have your team up! Being from the east coast its good find a place to go kick back "with people ya know!" OH by the way they have darts, pinball, and CONNECT FOUR!!!
- Pros: Great Drinks, NFL package, Green Monster in the back
- Cons: closing time
Great Old School Bar
by tips
My husband and I own a bar in Red Bluff, California and we often go to San Francisco for a weekend visit. We stumbled on this bar by asking a local for a good "old school" type bar. We were not disappointed! The service was great, drinks very reasonable and strong and the characters in this place were priceless. We spent the whole evening there and it did become busy later in the evening with many of the locals who had just gotten off work. We loved that as you get a real sense for the city and the people who live there. Our bartender was absolutely great. We will go back whenever we are in the city.
- Pros: Atmosphere, Value, Staff, customers, etc
- Cons: None
A nice local scene with good people and Pinball
by staggs
One of the saddest parts about leaving San Francisco to move to Chicago was leaving this place behind. The owners are fantastic and run an establisment which is welcoming to newcomers and home base to a cast of real characters. If you're looking for a Red Sox bar - this is the place. They even have a replica of the Green Monster adorning their back patio wall. Features - patio, Monday Night Football grub, regular BBQs, pinball, darts and, of course, Mark Fusia. Check it out.
- Pros: People, Pinball, The Robert Special
- Cons: Closing Time
