I was bummed to see this place boarded up and looking like it closed down for so long. This summer it re-opened it's doors and had some nice renovations done. I like the outdoor patio they have, but the inside is very nice too and they always have live music. I'm not too impressed with their menu, but you can't go wrong with a few of their appetizers or their small personal pizza with some of their tasty drinks. I personally like the oysters or frito-misto appetizers. Good service and nice atmosphere, fun way to start an evening.
Pros: outside dining, live music,
Cons: food is so-so

Enrico's has outdoor space in the front of the restaurant. It's tucked in from the street so its quieter. They have heat lamps outside but on a windy day, you can really feel it b/c its situated on the corner. The decor is nice and there was a band playing with a nice sounding woman singing. The service is attentive but our waiter was a bit deadpan but still friendly. For apps we had the clam with chorizo and tomato sauce--highly recommended! And for entree we had the pan iron steak made as ordered. They also have house made pasta and that was incredible. Definitely worth going back to again.

I have patronized Enrico's for many years and I have watched the place go up and down, but at dinner tonight the place hit a new low. The maitre d'hotel, after the long wait to be acknowledged, seemed drunk as a skunk as he reeled around the room sloppily, and the waiter was patronizing and attitudinal. The food is OK, as are the drinks, but the service really queered the experience. The reason to go here is great jazz with no cover charge. That's worth a lot. Just don't expect more.
Pros: great jazz, no cover
Cons: unprofessional server, ridiculous 'tude

Loved the outdoor seating with a great view of the Financial District and the Broadway foot traffic. The live jazz is always a nice touch. The food was average and a bit pricey. The portions weren't all that huge either. I think this place is better for drinks and socializing than dining. Service was consistent with what it should be. Nothing outstanding, but by no means bad. If you're looking for a good meal, there's better locations in North Beach. But a great place just hang out.
Pros: Atmosphere, Outdoor Seating, Live Jazz
Cons: A bit pricey food

I arrived at Enrico's at 6PM on a Sunday night after the North Beach festival. I was promptly seated at an inside table near the window. My waiter was very efficient and courteous even though he and the other 2 waitstaff were kept jumping. I ordered the lasagna, which arrived quickly and piping hot. With a cold beer and the fresh crusty bread, it made an excellent meal. I lingered over coffee and dessert to listen to the Jazz music. Even though the place was very full by 8PM, I never felt rushed or pressured. All-in-all, a very pleasant dining experience.
Pros: Good food, Good service, Good music
Cons: Noisy near the bar

Delight salad, Great steak, good Jazz music. Tasty creme caramel. I had a great 1st date there... There's a parking lot next to the restaurant.
Pros: food, music, parking
Cons: service

I went to Enrico's last Friday for the first time for a friends birthday and had one of the best experiences I can remember. What a great place, our waiter was so cool, he joked with us all night and gave us great service, the food was far better than I'd expected (you have to try the pork chop) and the jazz band was awesome. (definately not the place to go for background music) I can't wait to take my husband there.

Closest thing to Paris in SF, a great outdoor cafe/bar/rest, free music, good food, my favorite in San Francisco! Don't forget to try the Mojitos.
Pros: Atmosphere, Location
Cons: parking

I had dinner at the bar at Enrico's last Monday nite and had one of the best times of my life. Pizza, pear salad, and a nice dry white wine that the bartender recommended. I met a poet, a calligrapher, an aromatherapist, and a painter, and the conversation was enlightening. The best part of the night was the boogie woogie piano player.

Like most of the reviews say (at least those who have some knowledge of what a dining experience should be) take your business elsewhere. The wait staff needs to take Service 101, the chef (I use the term loosely here) must have slept through most classes, except "How to Make Your Food as Bland as Possible" and "Cream versus Water Sauce". As for the wine, at the price per glass, I would expect something above the notch of "screw cap".
