THE BEST CANNOLI AND TIRAMISU!
by cannoli_lover
I think we have tried everything that Stella has to offer, but the cannoli and tiramisu are out of this world!
I make it a point to go to San Francisco just to eat and Stella is always a regular stop. Everything is
great!
- Pros: You can't go wrong with any pastry or cookie
- Cons: You may eat too much!
Sacripantina just melts on your mouth!
by ludis97
I went to this place after a big breakfast so I had the Chocolate cake, napoleon, mixed berry cake and sacripantina to go. Eventually, I ate them after few hours later and everything was so goooooood. Sacripantia was absolutely delicious! It just melts on your mouth with not too sweet but right amount of delicate cream made with egg yolks, sweet butter, rum, marsala and sherry wines. It's amazing! Other cakes were good too but you can ONLY taste Sacripantina HERE! Definitely going back to this place next time I visit SF.
- Pros: Everything was good
- Cons: Parking on street
Great name
by stellatripp
Stella's Bakery is so good I was named after it. My parents bought their wedding cake there. The cake was so tasty and the name so awesome and I was their first born, so they named me Stella.
What a gem

Even late on a Saturday afternoon with people cramming the cases, the staff was friendly, helpful and a real pleasure. The selections were awesome and they take the time to explain whats what if you need help. Get something to go and eat it late at night in you rhotel room. You'll bee back for more I guarantee it.
Pastries to die for, sacripantina is heaven on a plate
by rudyfan
When I moved to SF in the 1980s, I found Stella Pastry and fell in love with the sacripantina. In 1999 I moved to the East Coast, in 2006 I just returned to the city by the bay. The next generation may have taken over, but the quality and recipes are unchanged. Stella Pastry is a jewel in North Beach, not to be missed. The cookies are wonderful, lovely coffee and the sacripantina, well it is what they are known for. It's beyond description, except it is absolutely to die for. I hate giving away secret places in San Francisco, but Stella Pastry is a place too good to keep secret.
- Pros: Everything is absolutely delicious
- Cons: When tempted, I can eat to much of a good thing!

Italian bakery and cafe specializes in all-occasion cakes, including tiramisu and trademark zabaione sacripantina. Cannoli, croissants and espresso are also available for the quick morning snacker.
marvelous pasticceria and services
by gregoriodavide
The Stella caffe has a wide range of delcious cookies. I love their almond biscotti or cantucci which has a strong smell of Almond. besides that, I recommend you to try their occi di bue ( strawberry cookies), Taralli, Delizzia and their most famous Sacripantina
- Pros: amaretti, occi de bue, sacripantina
Sacrapantina and tiramisu

The Sacrapantina was to die for. The best tiramisu I ever had. My husband and I went to Stella's every morning we were in San Francisco. Great variety of cookies. Great coffee too.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing
You Must Experience
by cannoli
You must experience the coffee and cannoli here. All of their pastries are great.
Sacrapantina is heavenly
by aliby
and I can't find it in New York!! All of Stella's pastries are delicious, the tiny neighbourhood bakery is charming, but it's the sacrapantina that I dream about from across the continent.
