It is a always a good time going to the zoo. My daughter loves going and it is a great way to get a little exercise.

So very disappointing.

by partaaaay

I actually had a year-long membership to the zoo. After the accident, there went my $77! No way I'm going back there again.

I did see a little bit of laxity when it came to the zookeepers. One time I visited, there were loud shrieks coming from the chimpanzee enclosure and a crowd has gathered outside it to see the commossion. Of course, we couldn't see anything because they were all hidden inside.

Anyway, I think it was poorly/irresponsibly handled too, the whole thing about how the wall to the tiger enclosure was too short, that it was dangerous and Management still kept it as is, until the accident.

A day late, ya know? Those lives can never be restored. So very disappointing.

Nature's living marvels, tastefully displayed.

Facts
The San Francisco Zoo manages to keep most age groups entertained with its selection of animals, and it delights younger folk with the Children's Zoo--a four-acre park of smaller animals that won't scare the kids. For more serious zoo visitors, there's the Doelger Primate Discovery Center, a home to rare and endangered monkeys, Gorilla World and the lion house.

Features
Rainbow Landing, a walk-through aviary features colorful Australian rainbow lorikeets. Visitors can feed nectar to the birds, which land on visitors' arms and shoulders to feed. Also at the zoo is Aye-Aye forest, Australian Walkabout, Koala Crossing, Gorilla World, the Feline Conservation Center, Primate Discovery Center and the Children's Zoo, which features the Insect Zoo and barnyard.

Great new Lemur exhibit

by sfmallon

The renovations to the zoo are very good. The new Lemur exhibit is wonderful. Other parts of the zoo still need work, but overall a wonderful place to go.
