The Specials are the thing

The first time we ate here, spouse had "Mediterranean pork chops" and I had a Spinach Canneloni, made with a crepe not a noodle, filled with spinach and cheese and covered in cheese and diced tomatoes. The second time we had a terrific salad of mixed greens, goat cheese, sliced apples, pine nuts,and a cranberry vinagrette.

There seems to be little walk-in traffic but a fair amoutn of delivery and takeout. The waiter (owner?) is interesting - a bit difficult to understand but showy ;-)

Give it a try.

Family Run and Friendly

The family that owns the place were very kind and friendly when I lived in the area. I have moved now and drive over to pick up or dine in. I have never been disappointed with the food. The service is hit or miss over the phone but always good in the restaurant. I highly recommend the lemon chicken soup especially on a cold night!

Don't be fooled by the name. Verona serves not only Italian food but Greek food and pizzas as well. I recently ordered takeout from Verona--they offer free delivery. I got 2 of the Greek dishes and the food was better than I expected, given the woman who answered the phone. Scary. She sounded like the last thing she wanted to do was take my order. Plus, the order showed up about half an hour late. When I called to find out about the status, she still sounded like the last thing she wanted to do was talk to me. There are better choices in the neighborhood for the same prices.
