Don't be fooled by the Lombard Street address--the majority of this street, known for one small crooked stretch, is a trafficked thoroughfare. If you can get a room not facing the street, the hotel isn't a bad deal for lodging in a city known for its pricey accommodations.

The best thing about the rooms is their size. Otherwise, the furnishings are fairly standard. Amenities are wanting here, although you will find direct-dial phones, coffee makers and TVs. The hotel is located in the Marina District, known for its Victorian architecture, and is within walking distance to the Palace of Fine Arts.
