Other places to go...

by psuloose at Citysearch

If you're looking for other places in the area:

Bus Stop and Blue Light on Union St. are obvious choices. Kelley's Tavern on Fillmore and Lombard just added a bunch more TVs. They will have college and NFL packages and won't be as packed as those two. Monoghan's off Chestnut has sports packages too.

BSB is DOA

by JoeBobJustice at Citysearch

Dear all,

Bayside was auctioned off the morning of February 6th.

No word or explanation

So much for March Madness in the Marina.

S&G,

I have never had such a horrible experience at a SPORTS BAR in my life.

by thefraz at Citysearch

Seriously. There aren't many ways to make me write a bad review, and this is the first time I EVER have, but I had such a disappointing experience at Bayside, I just felt the need to warn others: I will NEVER go back. There are tons of awesome sports bars in the city and this one is BAD! Terrible crowd. Drinks took way too long. Food should be skipped all together. Dont know who Bayside thinks they are, but I had an awful time with the staff - there was a line at the door, and they wouldnt let people in! People were in line for like 30 minutes! It's a SPORTS BAR not a freaking Dance Club! Dont waste your time here. Manager wasn't even responsive or helpful in any way. I was very disappointed...Marina lets me down. Once again...

Best Sports Bar

by allaboutsports at Citysearch

Bayside is the best place to watch football, great atmosphere. There are some many TV's that most games get coverage and TV's are organized well with what game will be on each, makes it easy to pick the right place to watch. The bar does fill up so get there early to get a seat. Food is good, get a burger or most of the appetizers. Many beers on tap and the $2 happy hours are a good place to start your night.

  • Pros: Sports, Atmosphere, TV's
  • Cons: Parking

reality check

by truthbtold at Citysearch

Don't waste your money. The food is alright but the customer service is a complete joke. There are so many better places in the city to enjoy. Get out and explore the city and I promise you will not have to search long to find a place that is actually unique and not so trite. I am amazed that this restaurant is ranked as high as it is on CitySearch.

  • Pros: location
  • Cons: customer service, attitudes, TV postions are low

Upper-crust Marina hangout where the impressive number of TV screens ensures a prime view for all.

by Contributor at Citysearch

The Scene
A typical afternoon at this Cow Hollow watering hole is eerily similar to an afternoon at SBC Park: Cell phones and khakis pretty much rule the day. Still, folks of all types fit right in--as long as they're passionate about anything that involves running, jumping and balls. Though sports bars aren't usually singles scenes, Bayside comes closest to reconciling the often profound gender imbalance at such places. In other words, singles just might score along with the winning team.

The Draw
The focus here is on the big three sports--baseball, basketball, football--but the 41 TVs, giant screens and satellite feed make special requests easy to accommodate, whether they be for soccer, beach volleyball or gymnastics. There are 17 beers on tap and a full menu to boot.

  • Pros: Great views
  • Cons: Lots going on

No one else comes close!

by dys4 at Citysearch

This place is hands down the best Sports Bar in town. Great food, tons of TV's, and a friendly staff. They also have one of the best dart set-ups in the city.

  • Pros: Food, Drink Specials, TV's
  • Cons: Are there any?

Used to be great.... What happened?

by sigtau150 at Citysearch

This place used to be the place to go for College FB on Saturdays. The line used to be out the door and all the good games were always on good TV's. This year everything has changed. Service is horrible! Good games are on small tv's, even when ppl call ahead that week to request a BIG game. After trying to give it a chance for the last 6 weeks, I have officially given up on this place! Sad to see a place that I used to be at EVERY saturday for the past 4 college football seasons go down the way it did

My recommendation... Stay AWAY!!!

The staff think they're better than you.

by anon_user_sf at Citysearch

Typical marina establishment: The service sucks, the food sucks, and you spend way too much money. The waitresses are super rude, as well as the owner, and barstaff. Somehow I'm amazed that all the restaurants I've ever reviewed negatively still maintain a 9 or above rating here at CitySearch. I bet this will be deleted because it's not positive.

  • Pros: uhmm, none, here
  • Cons: rude, did I mention rude?, oh, yeah, rude!
