If you're looking for a bargain in the city, this place fits the bill. The plain, 1950s-style exterior isn't much to look at, but who's gazing in that direction, anyway? The hotel is on the beach and some of the rooms have great ocean views.

The property's exterior and guest rooms were upgraded in 2003. The rooms aren't terribly stylish, but you can't complain, given that they're spacious, clean and comfortable. As well, they offer extras such as cable TV with HBO and private bathrooms with hair dryers. They also feature large windows. Fax and copy services are available. For breakfast, guests need only wander to the gourmet coffee shop next door. Parking is free, and 24-hour public transport can be found right across the street. There are many ethnic restaurants, grocery stores and laundromats within walking distance.…
