Comfortable neighborhood joint
by macho_princess
Favorite "regular" place. I eat here at least once a week, sometimes breakfast, sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner. If I'm really hungry and craving something meaty, I have the corned beef hash -yummy and plentiful. I don't eat cheese, and they are great about accomodating my cheese-less requests and also mixing up the tea in my teapot and refilling the hot water. Big fan of the kyoto crepe and the Bangkok salad. Great for groups and also comfortable dining alone.
- Pros: huge portions, tasty food, comfortable alone and with a group
- Cons: none!
Just some really good food
by katmeow
I've been to crepevine 4 times now, and each time just keeps getting better. I really recommend the breakfast (excluding the omelettes, they have a weird texture) with a heaping stack of breakfast potatoes. Also if you like pumpkin try the pumpkin pancakes...they are fluffy and delicious.
- Pros: Pumpkin Pancakes, good breakfast potatoes, breakfast all day
- Cons: Parking, Omelettes
Breakfast in the afternoon
by nighttripper
Hey, you can get eggs and hash browns ANYTIME--what a concept! I always want breakfast fare later in the day rather than as soon as I wake up and that's almost impossible to find these days (eggs needn't be just breakfast food, ya know). You can get savory crepes or sweet crepes, have a whole meal or just a salad, portions are huge. They have some tables outside so your pet can join you. It is usually crowded during regularly appointed mealtimes. No parking. Prices are good. They also do take out (no delivery though).
- Pros: Breakfast is served all day and evening, crepes are good
- Cons: No parking, crowded at peak feeding times
Good Value
by trebopolis
Crepevine is one of my favorite neighborhood hang outs. The service has truly improved in the past several years. The food remains excellent and the portions huge.
- Pros: location, food, value
Colorful creperie with several locations throughout the Bay Area stands out with fresh, quality ingredients.

In Short
Diners pace their orders at the counter, grab a table and wait for generously portioned dishes to arrive at this bustling eatery. Sweet and savory crepes are available all day long, as is breakfast, which includes updated dishes, like benedictions--twists on the classic Eggs Benedict--and hearty three-egg scrambles. Sandwiches, like the North Beach, a roasted vegetable and pesto-slathered bagel, and the Bodega Bay, a tuna melt with Dijon mustard, show off San Francisco flavors.
Good Place for Breakfast or Lunch

Yummy crepes, but not authentic
by curious_durian
I didn't try the breakfast items, but I enjoyed the crepes for sure. Ppl are right that they're not authentic, but I still enjoyed it a lot and the value makes a great lunch. They were generoud with their portions. The dessert crepes were also great. Santanini (think that's the name) is a must-try b/c they're very generous with the pistachios! I'm planning to bring my boyfriend to try cuz he loves crepes, and will definitely try their breakfast next time!
- Pros: Yummy food, Great value, Dessert Crepes
- Cons: Not authentic

The crepes are tasty and the portion is filling. I wasn't expecting much from a savory crepe but it certainly changed my view after my lunch.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: crowded
Crepes are ok
by icee429
Theres nothing really special about their crepes. Basically I don't think I'll notice that it is missing if its they leave out the crepes. The best thing they have is their corn beef with potatoes, green peppers, onions and sunny side eggs on top with toasts. They use to make really good potatos, which were cripsy on the outside and soft on the inside. Now its just soggy and bland.
It's not about the crepes
by sfrain
As others have said, the crepes aren't the best thing on their menu. Personlly, Crepevine is my favorite weekend brunch place of choice. I will miss this place if I move away from the Bay Area. I prefer dessert crepes over savory crepes, but I tend to think that dessert crepes should be of the hand held kind. Therefore, my favorite menu item is their Costa del Sol...their eggs benedict with spinach and ham. The hollandaise sauce serves me just right. The Costa del Sol makes all other benedicts bland in comparison. Their chicken club sandwich is also pretty good. For other brunchers, just go for one of the scrambles instead of the crepes. It's too bad they're named Crepevine and crepes aren't the best thing on their menu. It gets people off to a first impression although everything else is excellent.
- Pros: Costa del sol, scrambles
- Cons: savory crepes
