Good food at a good price

I eat at many Chinese restaurants and I find Andy's a good place to eat at. I eat there at least once a week & have done so for at least 12 years. Their Lunch specials are great and a good deal! I always order the garlic chicken drumsticks but there other lunch specials I also enjoy. My snobby friend who goes to exotic chinese restaurants resisted going to Andy's and one day he gave in. He had the Ma Po Tofu lunch special. I was waiting for him to say something negative. To my surprise he said it was very tasty and loved the price. He went on to rave saying where can you get this dish with soup and all the trirmings for so cheap?

He has gone back to order the same dish again. Friends from out of town always rave about the food and price. You know that old horrible stand by Egg Fu Young that is like an egg pancake that only your Grandparent would eat? At Andy's they do an Egg Fu Young that is to die for!!! Its like a souffle and bears no resemblance to the pancake versions. The Kung Pow tofu is a favorite of another friend of mine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Now keep in mind I've had some dishes that didn't wow me and would not order again but all restaurants don't have 100% satisfaction on every dish they serve,

Can't Go Wrong With Andy's Delivery

I rely on Andy's for prompt delivery of delicious and fresh Chinese fare, although I've never actually been inside the restaurant, and they have never let me down. Over the years, I've ordered just about every dish they serve and have always been pleased. They will also make anything you can think up if you have special dietary needs or wants. Thier delivery is prompt. Last but not least..they have brown rice! I highly recommend Andy's if you're looking for dependable fare and prompt delivery at a good price.

Terrible Chinese

Ordered delivery from this place for the first time. We thought it terrible food. Most of it tasted like it was from a can or frozen. I would never eat there again. The service was good, too bad the food wasn't better.

Can't go wrong with Andys on 9th

I've never actually eaten in the resturant, but I've been getting thier deliveries for years. The people who take my order are always concientious and will make special orders for me. I also love the brown rice. They deliver fast, they're friendly..I would recommened this restaurant for delivery service and I'm sure they're just as nice in person.

Did I mention the food is delicious too? It is!!

Andy's New Russian Hill

Andy's Excellent Chinese Cuisine is now open at Union and Polk and it is a great addition to the neighborhood. Superior

cooking techniques, a broad menu, an extensive separate all vegetarian menu, deep, rich flavors, crisp fresh vegetables and light perfect sauces make this the best Chinese Restaurant anywhere near this area.

The upscale decor, pleasing music, fresh flowers, paintings, and clean atmosphere make this a refreshing change from other chinese restaurants in Russian Hill.

The staff is modest, but their other location at 9th and Irving has been voted by the Bay Gaurdian Readers as the Best Take-Out in the Bay Area and this location has new chefs who are appear already up to the challenge of meeting this high standard.

great delivery

best delivery i've found in the city, even if they did take a little while to get here. the food is great and the prices seem to be in line with other restaurants. the portions are generous too. i recommend the pea pods, black mushroom, and water chestnuts.
