horrible manners
by gatone
They are so rude, they have this attitude that the customers will always return. Sorry Pasquale's, you're not as big of a franchise as those fast-food chains, you cannot treat customers the way you do... You cannot throw attitude over the phone because you're having a bad day. You should not treat humans that way period, let alone your clientele. You just lost a lot of business from my generation, you have no idea how big social communities can be in San Francisco. That was a big, BIG NO-NO.
- Pros: good food
- Cons: horrible, horrible service
Little has changed, particularly its local appeal, since this Inner Sunset trattoria's opening in 1959.
by Chelsea Sime
In a small frame near the cash register--directly across from where dough-throwers with actual Italian accents flip crusts and prep pies--is a menu from the old-school restaurant's 1959 debut. An extra-large combo pizza (your standard omnivore's first choice) ran only $3, particularly humorous because that same dinner now costs diners more than $20. In addition to pizza, customers can now order pasta, meat and seafood entrees, stuffed potatoes and baked favorites like lasagna and manicotti. The music choices on the dining room's jukebox serve as a flash from the past as well: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Nat King Cole croon as you and your party stock up on cheesy carbs.
best pizza in the city
by webrender
I've been eating Pasquale's pizza for about as long as I can remember eating pizza, and it's almost never disappointed me. The crust is crispy, yet doughy enough to support the rich marinara. The toppings are always correct, fresh, and delicious. I wouldn't go or order delivery from anywhere else in the neighborhood.
- Pros: GREAT pizza, perfect crust and fresh toppings.
- Cons: Sometimes busy; greasy food.
Good People, Good Food, Good Value
by wendolyne
Sausage AND pepperoni on my pizza, please. Pasquale's knows how to do it just right. There's a delicate balance between just right and too heavy on the meat and these guys know the secret. They make tasty gnocchi, too! This is a convenient and inexpensive place for meeting up with friends before or after outings. Good value, good fresh food, and friendly waitstaff. There seems to be never too long of a wait, even if there's a line, and the servers even remember "the usual."
- Pros: fast service, good value
- Cons: not fancy shmancy...but that's really not a con, now is it? ( ;
Fa Schifo means disgusting in Italian
by cousinisaac
I generally make it a rule to only write positive reviews about special places, with the old maxim "if you don't have anything good to say...." taken to heart. (See my blog at cousinisaac.blogspot.c0m for proof of this.) But I feel I need to warn people about this place.
Perhaps my choice of toppings was to blame, ordering ground beef, musrooms and onions, I had read on yelp that Pasqualle's meats tend to be greasy but didn't think much about it. Big Mistake. When I got home with my pie, for which I was humming a little pizza song in anticipation because it smelled sooo good, I opened the box and was repulsed by the gory car wreck staring up at me. The dough was somehow, all at once, soggy, undercooked, and stale at the crusts. The cheese, of which there wasn't much, had slid off with half the toppings into a mound of grease. They had piled on the meat, with a slop bucket it would seem. Fa Schifo!
Now, mind you, I was hungry, so I actually ate a few slices. I felt like a pig while doing so, and afterward the corners of my mouth felt like they did when I was a zitty teenager. Did I mention it was greasy?
I can safely say, the only worse pizza I have had was in a small town in Japan where one should know better than to try the pizza. (I have also had very good pizza in Japan, but in the city.)
Consider yourself warned.
- Pros: large portions?
- Cons: greasy greasy greasy
Good pizza, fresh ingredients.
by lcsf
Fairly good pizza, they use fresh ingredients which is rare in many places. The pasta dishes are average. Portions are very generous, and they are open late, so it's a nice place to have a late dinner if you're hungry. Service was pleasant, no complaints.
Best Pizza in Town
by jlrobe
Well actually, I have only had 4 placs in SF, but many all over. The pies made here are delicious, especially if you love meat. The sign of a great pizza place is its sauage and marinara sauce, in my opinion. Fine quality sausage is expensive and hard to find and it is the defining mark of a pizza place. Lets face it, everyone has didfferent tastes when it comes to grease, crust, and amount cheese, so I wont wast my breath talking about them. The sausage and marinara sauce are very high quality here, but the pizzas are a bit greasy becasue their flavorful meats are rich with plenty of grease when cooked (but I like that personally). Try a large special if you love meat, and pat the pizza down if you are sensitive to grease. Enjoy
- Pros: Great meat pizza
- Cons: vegetarian offerings, maybe grease??

You'r Right, There is a better Pizzeria on Irving
by tarabarnes111
After reading a review on here about better pizzerias in the city, i decided to take a walk on Irving and found great pizza, service, and ambience. Good bye I'm never coming back here, I'm going to the other far superior place.
Tasty Seafood Pizza
by icee429
My favorite is there seafood pizza, they make a very good dough and the seafood toppings are flavorful. If you sit down and eat, it takes a long time for them to come out with the pizzas. You should order to go instead, that way you won't have to wait as long and you save on tip. Prices are average, nothing spectacular.
- Pros: Seafood Pizza
- Cons: Wait time
