Favorite Antique Store!

A wonderful store! I have been shopping here for many, many years. I live in the neighborhood. I feel comforted knowing that this store is still here, a San Francisco landmark. You have never seen a collection of Limoges boxes or vintage Bakelite jewelry as extensive as this. It makes me happy to shop here, wonderful friendly energy from the owner who is very helpful. She even keeps a bag of treats to give to my dog. The prices are very reasonable, better than most stores and the variety and selection is amazing. You must visit this store!

Best Antique Store Ever!

I love shopping at Gaslight & Shadows. Phyllis, the owner, is so knowleadgeable and enthusiastic that it makes it fun to shop there. I love her huge collection of jewelry and limove boxes. This is a must stop for Everyone!

BEST ANTIQUES IN SF

We love this place. My wife and I have been coming here for years and I cant remember a time that we did not walk out with some sort of treasure. If you like antiques, then you owe it to yourself to check this place out. You will not be disappointed!

Best Store, a SF landmark

We have been shopping at Gaslight & Shadows for over 30 years. Phyllis, the owner is always there to greet and help you. This store has the most unique, interesting items that you cannot find anywhere else at very low prices. The store is fun and friendly, as asset to the community, the neighborhood and San Francisco. It is a landmark, a tradition, and a SF institution. You never know what you might find here and you, you always feel like you got a great deal, and you can trust that the owner has your best interest as a priority. We LOVE Gaslight & Shadows Antiques and will always support it.

Stressless/Good Value/Great Variety

I don't normally like shopping, but shopping at this store is fast and easy. I do all of my gift shopping there. I am in and out in little time and find unique, interesting gifts at very good prices. I would be paying much more for lesser quality elsewhere. The owner is fair, honest and makes shopping a fun experience. This is shopping without stress. The owner helps me choose what to purchase and I trust her judgement. She makes me feel like it is very important that she offers a good product and the best price. I feel her enthusiasm for the store and the items that she sells. I have never been in a store with such interesting merchandise. You really should check it out.

Amazing, One of a Kind Store

I have been shopping at Gaslight & Shadows Antiques for over 30 years. I am a faithful customer because of the owner, Phyllis. She knows my name, looks for items I collect, and gives me very good prices. She is so friendly, makes me feel welcome. When I need cheering up, I visit Gaslight & Shadows and always leave feeling better.

I have experienced how the store has changed through the years. It always feels fresh, having new and different items. You never know what will be in the store. Phyllis has always had a passion for vintage Bakelite and has a wonderful collection of Bakelite jewelry. She also has the largest collection of Limoges Porcelain Boxes, they are everywhere in the store. When I first started shopping here, there was a lot of furniture, now it is mostly smaller items. She also has beautiful porcelain dolls at very low prices.

I have purchased my most cherished jewelry at Gaslight & Shadows. Phyllis has a gift for finding items that are unique, unusual and special. She has a passion for her store, you feel like she is there just to please you and be surrounded by beautiful items. You feel like you got a good deal on anything you buy and that it was chosen with love.

Great, Fun Store!

What an incredible store. There are so many beautiful items to choose from. A great place for gifts. There are porcelain dolls, unusual lamps, vintage watches, bakelite game pieces and many other different collectables. This store is packed with super affordable costume jewelry. I find incredible vintage Bakelite jewelry here, a large collection. When I shop here, I always walk away feeling happier. Phyllis, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. The prices are great. This store us unlike any store I have ever been in. I highly recommend it!

Tremendous Trove of Tiny Treasures

This compact store is truly full of thouands of small and wonderful treasures - Limoge boxes, dolls, vintage jewelry and and everything in between. The prices are very reasonable and the owner is a real sweetheart. If you need something unique this is the place. I have been a customer for many years. Check it out - tell a friend !

Best place in SF for unique jewelry!

Gaslight & Shadows Antiques is a place is full of treasures! They've got everything from dolls to limoges to jewelry. If you are a jewelry lover, you've got to check this place out. You can find a variety of styles to suit your mood such as modern, costume, replicas, and bakelight jewelry and the prices are really incredible! I came across this store by chance since I moved to the Richmond neighborhood and I keep coming back for more. I've bought so many pairs of earrings and always get compliments on them. My favorite is the bakelight jewelry which come in many colors, shapes, and sizes. I also love the antique rings and bracelets. Just recently, I bought a gorgeous pair of dangly lightweight earrings, another bakelight pair made by Zad, and Jennifer Lopez style hoop earrings for under 30$! You can't find a deal like that for quality jewelry.

Another wonderful thing about his store is that the owner is absolutely fabulous, upbeat, and her willingness nature to help you is something you don't find in antique stores.
