Great Thai Food. Bai Som Thai is a cute and cozy Thai Restaurant. The food is incredible. If you like it spicy they will make it spicy. The service is wonderful. The waitress was attentive to all my needs. I will be going back to Bai Som Thai soon!

This place is good. I like this place. The prices are low, and they serve a few good fish dishes with curry. The food tends to be a bit home style, nothing too fancy. However, if you are in the neighborhood and want a solid Thai meal, definitely drop by. Not the best Thai in the world, but you will enjoy the food.

Thumbs up from a bonafide Thai food snob. I am a bonafide Thai food snob. I've traveled through Thailand, grew up with food centered around Thai flavors, and have a picky palate when it comes to what I will eat and how much I will pay. This place is down to earth and flavor always stands in where most other American Thai restaurants substitute flair. The simplicity of the cooking makes the dishes more authentic and the chefs are always open to creating tastes that will satisfy my picky palate.

If you want to taste what a plate of two-dollar pad thai on a Chiang Mai roadside or a Bangkok food stall is like, Bai Som is the place to go. Bai Som is easy, unprententious and good food at a great price. They also have a terrific catering menu with generous portions and low prices. I've used them for catering on several occassions and am always satisfied.

On a Quiet Street, Delicious Food Awaits. I've been hesistant to try Baisom, afraid that the restaurant served up average Thai food, which to the average customer is fantanstic. But I was wrong, Baisom serves up delicious Thai food. The Green Curry Chicken was light and fragrant and the B-B-Q Chicken was one of the best -- juicy and tender and flavorful. The chicken comes with two dipping sauces, one sweet and tangy, the other spicy and heavy on citrus notes. I highly recommend this restaurant..Great for dates, and dinner out with your honey. The service is excellent, street is quiet, and you can actually hold a conversation.

Hidden Thai Gem Foodies and the Frugal will love!. With a plethora of Thai restaurants in the Bay Area, including many within blocks of this tiny gem, Baisom continues to outshine ten years after first opening with its consistently outstanding food, fresh ingredients, beautifully balanced flavors, genuinely warm and inviting service, and reasonable prices. Patty Baisom has infused her restaurant with the gracious spirit and charm of the small village in Thailand where she was raised. This diminutive and delightful lady is part of the magic of Baisom Thai. If you are fortunate to chat with her, you will be touched by her modesty, graciousness and depth of kindness for others. Whether its the delicate wave of delicious flavor in that first mouthful of curry, the sweet comfort of her Thai iced teas or the warm smiles that greet you and accompany your departure, you leave graced by the experience and reminded of a gentler, more harmonious world.

Simply good food!. My husband and I went there on Christmas Day when we were staying in the city. I had a craving for hot noodle soup after French dinner; and I found this place on the yellow pages. It wasn't on the menu; but they made it for us. The soup had really good flavor; and it was very satisfying. The owner was very friendly and cheerful. We also had fresh spring rolls and Tod Mun, which were also excellent. Their portion is bigger than other Thai restaurants, so it's a great value. We own a restaurant ourselves; and we're always looking for the place with good food rather than good atmosphere. We'd defenitely go back to Bai Som when we are in the city.

Bai Som is addicting. I eat the BBQ chicken, the lemon grass soup, and the yellow curry. I love these items so much I do not venture out to other choices. I go there weekly and I am addicted to their flavors.
