Misti was my wedding photographer and she was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly easy to work with and extremely talented in capturing great candid shots as well as the formal ones. She always had a ready smile and made you feel so comfortable. Very affordable and you get tons of photos from her. Highly recommend!

Misti did our engagement party. She is an incredible photographer with a keen eye. The pictures were fabulous and she was very professional and friendly.

Pros: Amazing eye for detail, color, composition. Uses real film!

Cons: none!

It was less than 2 weeks until my wedding and the family friend who was doing our photography came down severely ill and would no longer be able to photograph my wedding. I frantically searched for photographers in the area and found Misti Layne. After explaining my situation, she was very sympathetic and wanted to help us out in any way she could. I couldn't have been more thrilled, not only is Misti a WONDERFUL photographer, but she has that fun, funky, candid style of photography that my fiancee and I love. The day of the wedding, she arrived right on time (if not early) and got straight to work. She was so casual and non-evasive, my guests, my fiancee and I hardly knew she was there. She was able to get into the center of the action without getting into anyone's face. She was respectful of our wish to have a minimal amount of staged photos so everyone, even my new husband and I, was able to spend 99.9% of the time having fun instead of posing for photos. My guests actually came up to me during the reception to compliment me on my choice of photographer. I couldn't have been luckier! Thanks so much Misti!!

I found Misti after searching through MANY sites...I liked her style and for some reason the guy with the mohawk at a wedding on her website. We loved our engagement photos, she suggested some "very SF" and scenic places to take them and she is very easy going and makes you relax instantly with her great laugh. She has also taken pictures of the salon I own and staff and I was pleased with those as well. My wedding was a blur-like most of them but when I saw the pictures, I was so happy that she captured some moments that I of course wasn't aware of. There's a picture of me and my Dad that I will cherish because he passed away 3 months later-I gave it to him for X-mas right before and he was very touched. If you are looking for someone fun, creative and has a flair for the candid and "photojournalistic" style, I highly recommend Misti!

Misti is so nice and personable, and got us right out of our shells! i think we had more fun having our pictures taken for the engagement shoot, then the wedding, due to weather factors and such, but we made due. i've heard her animal shots are fabulous too!

Pros: personality, detail oriented, artistic

Cons: lighting difficulties, no full shot to be framed for our parents

Misti is great. Period. She was professional and funloving at the same time. Punctual and attentive. She made it easy to be ourselves and took great pictures. We hired Misti to photograph our wedding and engagement pictures. Maybe 200+ people at the wedding. She got some great candid shots of just about everything. You know that time/place at the wedding when you forget you are being photographed and your just laughing and carrying on, and she caught it. You know, "the moment". It was a blast to look at the photos afterward and see all the amazing pictures of everyone having a blast. I had several people tell me it was the best, funnest wedding they had ever been to and Misti was part of that experience for us. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a great photographer and a really great person in general. Very easy going, which isn't easy given all the different personalities at an event such as a wedding. She made every happy and didn't sacrifice the quality of her work to do so. Thanks so much Misti.

I needed a good picture of myself, so i did a search for photographers in the area - - gave misti a try, and what a great experience. Not only is she pleasant, friendly, accomodating, genuine and sincere, but she also does really great work. I'm a pretty tough critic, so for me to rate someone well, they have to score well in all categories - - misti was easy to work with, her photos are very artsy, natural, and geared toward the individual (which she actually gets to know). I recommend without reservation.

We were so happy to have Misti photograph our wedding! We looked extensively at work from other photographers and found Misti's work the most professional, creative, and heartfelt. And, better yet, Misti has a fantastic personality and is fun and easy to work with. She helped us design a pre-wedding photo session which turned out some amazing shots. Then she worked closely with us to design what we wanted for our wedding day. We were extremely pleased with the results and with the album she helped us design after it was all over. We felt that the price for her services was extremely reasonable considering the high quality and the caring and responsiveness Misti provided were more than worth it! We've been recommending Misti to all our friends who are getting married or want other family pictures. She's fantastic and we can only give her a huge thumbs up!

Misti Layne, is by far "the premiere" wedding photographer extraordinaire of the bay area. When my husband and I met her @ the Ritz Carlton's bridal fiare, we were instantly hooked. Her style, attention to detail and willingness to accomodate were features that any bride wants to make her day incredibly fantastic. Not only that, she really "listens" to you and your fiance about your hopes and dreams and somehow magically captures it all on film. Incredible!!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her services to anyone. She captured the essence and beauty of our day and made it all seem magical. It's simply amazing, she was just like any other guests, making everyone comfortable and at ease. Our photos are full of photo ops that can only be captured by a professional...there were even a few of my guests wondering if I even had a photographer, that;s how awesome her service and style are...she just blends right in, and you're posing w/out even knowing...naturally, those pictures are the best! ;-) Thanks Misti, it' was a blast...love the fact that you had my stylist constantly refresh my makeup when necessary and your recommendaiton of the DJ was also incredible...we'll definitely call you when we get ready to renew our vows! ;-) Thanks for being so awesome...
