I have moved several times over the past few years and have used a variety of moving companies. Golden Bay Movers were the best I have hired. They took such care of all my items, and were professional and courteous. They made sure to wrap all the pieces of furniture and used padded cloth around the doors and walls in order not to leave any marks. I really appreciated that detail, since we had just painted all the rooms inside of our new home. Alfredo and Juan were the movers, and they were so efficient. I definitely will be using Golden Bay Movers again, and I highly recommend this company.

I moved a two bedroom appartment into a three bedroom house. We have a lot of stuff and easily filled up the whole truck. Despite this, it was an extremely quick operation - a little over four hours total. I chose to hire four movers and they worked amazingly quickly. They were very professional and courteous. Everything got wrapped in blankets and tape and was handled carefully. It was tighly strapped into the truck. No damage at all. It was a great service. I've now moved three times within San Francisco and this was by far my best experience. I would recommend it to anybody. Also, the person who handled the reservation over the phone was very polite, sweet, unrushed, and tolerant of me changing my mind a couple of times. It helped make it a pleasant experience. You can also tell that everybody in the business is concerned about maintaining their reputation. This is a good sign as it translates into good treatment of individual customers. My specific movers were: Alfredo, Juan, Francisco, and Carlos

I have moved multiple times in the last few years, each time hiring professional movers. The Golden Bay movers were by far the best, making what is usually a miserable experience a lot less painful. They were punctual, efficient, and professional. The cost is not cheap, but is comparable to other companies. Highly recommend.

Fernando and his team are such professionals and provide more service than anyone would expect. He goes out of his way to accommodate your needs and takes such good care of your possessions and YOU. His list of telephone numbers and suggestions to prepare for your move are incredibly valuable. These things alone saved me so much time and grief. I booked this move for a client of mine (I am his Realtor). The move was smooth, on time, perfectly orchestrated and reasonably priced. These guys enjoy their work and it shows. They smile, laugh and even sing. What a joy in today's world of no customer service, to get so much attention and care. Fernando and Golden Bay Relocation are THE BEST in my book. We will never use anyone else.

I've had several moves over the last few years, and this was, by far, one of the best! The three-man team that moved me from a loft in SOMA to a Victorian in the northern end of town showed up right on time and carefully wrapped each piece of furniture in plastic and/or cloth padding. They also padded the pillars and door frames in each apartment so they wouldn't get dinged (and they didn't). I own some rather intimidating-sized furniture, but these guys handled it all with aplomb. They wasted no time getting the job done, and they finished a lot earlier than I expected (saving me time and money!). I also was impressed by their fair and easy-to understand pricing structure, and there were no nasty surpises when it was time to handle the bill. Also, before the move, they reminded me to check about parking regulations and to see if there were any special moving rules that needed to be adhered to. I definitely appreciated this advice, since it turned out the homeowners' association at my former building in SOMA has some rules I didn't know about (turns out they ask to be notified 10 businesss days in advance of any move, they charge a rather hefty moving fee, and they send out a security guard to oversee everthing from beginning to end). So, extra thanks to Golden Bay for giving me the heads up about this. All in all, a great experience!!!!

They were friendly and upbeat, even though I moved on the worst weather day we've had for a long time. Even the two flights of stairs outside didn't faze them. I was happy at how quickly they were able to pack everything up, taking care that it was all protected from the pouring rain. I will definitely use them again - I highly recommend them!

I've moved four times in the last two years and Fernando doesn't even compete with those other jokers. His prices are fair, he's thorough and he was extremely careful with my precious valuables. He even cleaned out the front of the truck to give me a ride when my battery died the day of the move! His guys are lightning fast and Fernando's a total sweetheart. He even sent us a follow-up email wishing us the best of luck in our new place. He saves you money by moving fast so tip him well like we did, he deserves it!

Golden Bay rocks. Fernando was extremely detailed, knowledgable and organized when it came to doing the estimate. He also provided some great tips to ease some of the stresses of moving. This was a pretty big move and it just went so smoothly thanks to Fernando and his guys! His staff was not just super careful and efficient but they were a pleasure to be around. They actually ended up helping us with some hauling also which was a huge relief. I wouldn't call or recommend anyone else for future moves. Golden Bay definitely goes the extra mile.

As this was my tenth (10th) move inside San Francisco, I've had the opportunity to try a few moving services over the years. Golden Bay was a breath of fresh air. Fernando and his crew were friendly and incredibly efficient, while taking *great* care to protect all of our belongings, and the walls and doorways. To our amazement, we watched 3 men do the work in the same time that it would have normally taken a crew of twice their number -- and all without cutting any corners. Nothing was damaged. The only downside I can think of for using this company is that they require first-time customers to pay in cash (which is only a slight inconvenience). Otherwise, Golden Bay is head and shoulders above every other moving company I've ever used. I highly recommend them!

Moving always seems to take longer and be more involved than you suspect it is going to be. Choosing the right moving company can be a gamble. But I have to say that at every point in my interactions with this company, I found everyone helpful, friendly, and honest. When Fernando walked into my apartment and immediately began putting covers up on all the doorways. before we had even gone over the contract, I knew my move was in good hands. Both Fernando and Juan were extremely professional and efficient. I just had to breathe a sigh of relief and let them do their thing. But the added bonus was just how friendly and personable Fernando was. It felt like a group of friends were there helping--just super efficient, hardworking and careful friends. It really helped to make what could have been an extremely stressful time, easy and pleasant. If I ever needed to move again, I would definitely hire Golden Bay Relocation and Movers again! I most highly recommend them!
