Need a caring and competent dentist for the whole family?

I only have glowing reviews for Dr. Lopez.

My entire family has seen her for years: my husband and I think she's great, and my children simply adore her.

She's caring, smart, and very respectful, great with adults, and awesome with kids. Best of all, she makes everyone feel quite comfortable with her great bedside manners.

On top of it all, she also has a great reputation in clinic and academic circles at the local dental schools.

• Pros: Great for both, preventive and restorative dentistry
• Cons: Hard to get appointments, specially at end of year

Have lots of respect for this doctor

Dr Cohan is a recognized dentist, and a faculty member at the University of the Pacific. He saw me for an emergency when my regular dentist (his partner) was on vacation, and I was impressed by his knowledge and caring demeanor.

No need to fear seeing a dentist anymore!

Dr. Lopez is the best dentist in San Francisco, Heads Down! I searched high and low all over the Bay Area for someone like her, until a close friend recommended her to me.

She is extremely well qualified, and her bedside manners are the absolute best. I have recommended her to my family and friends and each one of them raves about Dr. Lopez.

The only drawbacks are that they do tend to have a long waiting list for appointments (but worth it!), and that parking (street or garage) may be difficult.

How many of you look forward to seeing your Dentist?

second only to brushing your teeth

I had no idea that a dentist could be so thorough! On my initial visit, Dr. Lopez measured and recorded every detail of my teeth, gums, bite, jaw. She very clearly explained to me every recommendation for maintaining the health of my mouth, including procedures, and even simple changes in my flossing technique. Also, she was sensitive to my lack of dental insurance and helped me prioritize my options for a longterm plan. Best dental consultant I've ever seen.

I would highly recommend her!

I have been Dr. Lopez's patient for several years. I've had regular check-ups and a crown done in her clinic and never had any problems. Dr. Lopez is skillful and caring. Her assistant and staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Overall, the environment is not intimidating at all. The only issue is that you might have to wait to get an appointment. However, I generally call her if I need to see her in a hurry so I've never had to wait more than a day. Overall, my experience has been relatively painless at her clinic.

Best dentist we ever had

Believe me, she is the BEST dentist we have ever had, no pain, very professional and will take whatever time is needed for the right treatment. I love her. My kids love her and they are never afraid. In summary, each visit is like going to visit a friend.

Esther is wonderful! I travel from Oakland to see her and my sister flys up from Orange County to see her! I will never go to another dentist ever!

Esther and her staff are kind and helpful and always on time. She even helped me get over my fear of having my teeth scraped by the metal pokey thing!

We love this doctor

Dr Lopez has been our dentist for 15+ years. My husband is an M.D, and works in the same building as her. He says that Esther is highly respected by her peers and works with the best specialists in town. Esther has done beautiful cosmetic work for my husband, and her bedside manners are the absolute best (plus shes wonderful and patient with my hyper boy). Dr Lopez really takes cares of her patients (returns calls, gets you in, listens and explains things, etc), and we are quite comfortable being under her care.
