I took Pilates in Atlanta for 2 years and 1 year at another SF studio before I was fortunate enough to find the Body Gallery. It is an oasis - the surroundings relaxing and the workouts refreshing and energizing. My instructors are better than I've found anywhere, personalized and specific to what I desire to get out of each session. I am a skier, surfer, and tri-athlete so at times, they are pushing me the distance to train and work parts of my body that need it for these sports. They have also been my champions in getting my strength back after knee surgery last year. My body and my spirit have benefitted exponentially through Pilates and I wouldn't trade my instructors, Sonya and Trusha, for anyone. They're both AWESOME, but I think all of the trainers there are wonderful. Cheers to this oasis in the city!
Pros: Personalized Pilates Training

I would like to call it my little slice of pilates heaven. Definately deserves a title of "the best kept secret" in the city, I work with the owner of the studio Cassidy who is extremely skilled and an absolute pleasure to work with. Cassidy bring a delicate balance of professionalism and warmth unlike I have ever seen. I started with pilates because I had an alinging back condition, she not only works with me at every step of the way to rehabilitate my back but improve overall muscle tone. I highly recommened body gallery to any one who iis looking of one on one pilates. Monaz Mehta

In 2001 I was being treated for a shoulder injury. When the problem didn't respond to either physical therapy or chiropractic my doctor recommended Pilates to strengthen the related muscles. He said that the carefully supervised workouts would help prevent re-injury to the area. Within weeks I noticed improvement and the problem eventually resolved completely. I found that the meditative atmosphere and intelligent instruction at the Body Gallery were just what I needed to recover and enjoy continued training. Pilates has helped me to become stronger and more flexible. I love the sessions. M. Eugene Sigler DDS
Pros: great atmosphere top trainers

I will be forever grateful to the friend who recommended The Body Gallery to me. It is the first exercise program I have ever stayed with (after decades of trying it all). Pilates is physically and mentally challenging but leaves you feeling absolutely invigorated and focused. The trainers are thoroughly knowledgeable, positive and encouraging, and delightful to know. There is so much learn and gain from PIlates, and The Body Gallery provides first-rate instruction in a very pleasant, professional environment.
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Typical city neighborhood parking - not so bad.

I love this place -- the location, the feel, the decor -- and all the trainers are way above par. I have especially enjoyed working with Cassidy Moore, the owner. She really listens to what you need, what your body needs, and she'll help you work what needs to be worked, adapting and adjusting the routine as your body changes. Their equipment is top of the line, too. Highly recommended.

I had never done Pilates before. I was surprised to discover how personal and challenging the workout was. My trainer really got to know my strengths so I can work on overcoming my weaknesses. I look forward to going to my workouts in a peaceful environment. P.S. The art is great too!
Pros: great trainers, great studio
Cons: once in while parking's hard

I have been going to classes at the body gallery for over six years. I started due to some back pain from excess travel and a knee injury from tennis. I have had no injuries since and still do a lot of the same activities. The team has been with me through many life changes including marriage and children. I really do feel like it has been them with me along the way. We prepared for the wedding dress and later kept me in shape while I grew, and grew, with my first child. I felt confident and stress-free for the entire pregnancy thanks to several workouts a week stressing safety for mom and child while I continued to get a great workout. The team was there again and flexible around this new mom's schedule when I was ready to get back to my old clothes. While understanding my new limits, they never stopped encouraging and pushing me to dig a little deeper. While I never pictured myself as someone who would enjoy the gym workout versus outdoor pursuits and like a good workout, not a bunch of stretching, I love going to the body gallery. I work hard, get gently pushed to my limits and cannot wait to come back for more. It is hard work, just ask some of the fellows there. I leave feeling refreshed and fulfilled that is was time very well spent. I have been converted. From a runner and biker to a pilates devotee. FYI - the strength I have gained from pilates helps than running, skiing and biking a lot too as well as some pretty heavy toddler lifting.
Pros: instructor

The Body Gallery is a great place! In my search for a pilates studio I was so lucky to find the Body Gallery. The small one room studio is beautifully designed, always has calm music playing, and so inviting. The personal trainer Cassidy Moore is incredible she walks you through each exercise, she is so patient, caring, and knowledgeable. After always struggling with flexibility I finally feel as though I have found help! When I walk out of my one hour pilates session I feel relaxed, stronger, and stretched from head to toe.
Pros: parking, ambience, service, care

I hate exercising! That having been said....I absolutely love, love, love working with owner/trainer Cassidy Moore. Her patience and vast knowledge of proper technique inspires me to keep retuning to the Body Gallery even though I hate to exercise. The difference in my flexibility post session is remarkable. I could definitely not reproduce these results on my own. Cassidy and her staff will make you feel like a million bucks!
Pros: friendly, knowledgable intstructors. serene setting
