Reasonably priced Italian cuisine is the stock-in-trade of this local pasta chain.

by Contributor

In Short
Pale green walls with red accents and a bustling open kitchen are consistent elements of this Bay Area mini-chain. Popular dishes include penne with sauteed eggplant, basil and fresh mozzarella, and primavera linguine with asparagus, broccoli, eggplant and tomato. Salads range from a grilled vegetable mix to a Caesar with pecorino cheese.

Surprisingly Good

I'm not a fan of chain restaurants but this one is different. I've only gone so far for brunch and dessert, both excellent. The prices are good and the service friendly.

Great food at a fantastic value

by tobikun

My wife and I just love this place, even though Pasta Pomodoro is a restaurant chain. They have great americanized italian cuisine (my wife is Italian and thus by definition very picky when it comes to food), pay a lot of attention to the detail (the appearance of the food, the spices), and the overall value is amazing (large piece of European style cheesecake with strawberry sauce for around $3.50). They have some of the best cappuccino in town and their heated outdoor seating is comfy even on cold days.

All in all - we love to visit Pasta Pomodoro pretty regulary.

  • Pros: Food quality, Good value, Friendly service
  • Cons: Parking

Just okay.

by sanfrangrrl

The server took forever in taking our order but at least she apologized. I didn't really enjoy the food since the pasta was undercooked. However, I liked the setting of the restaurant, and food was inexpensive. Their portions really fill you up. However, I rather go to the Olive Garden than this place.

  • Pros: nice location, inexpensive
  • Cons: undercooked pasta

Best Brunch

by Dogloverk

I have eaten Brunch in many locations in Noe Valley, but the best and most comfortable find for me was the Pasta Pomdoro on 24th and Noe. You can eat outside at one of the many patio tables; enjoy the People and Dog watching, while eating a great italian breakfast omelette or french toast with bananas, walnuts and mascarpone sauce. Yum

  • Pros: friendly, great food, inexpensive

Critics can't admit it - Pasta P is Good

by dherschman

Say what you will about Pasta P - the food is consistently fresh, quick, hot and tasty. Did I mention totally inexpensive? How do they do it so cheap - often cheaper to eat out than to cook at home. I find their pastas to be really good - sauces can be a bit one dimensional. But their menu is varied and their salads are top notch, and so cheap!! If only they delivered - why don't they?

  • Pros: consisently tasty, cheap cheap cheap!
  • Cons: one dimensional sauce
