Any sandwich on dutch crunch bread is spectacular and a must. No sandwich compares! My favorite is the Roxi Special, but you can't go wrong with anything there!

They have the best sandwiches in San Francisco. A sponsor of many youth athletic teams in the Ingleside and Excelsior for years, everyone at City College and the local high schools love to stop by Roxie's. Top suggestions: the Turkey/Pastrami combo with Chedder on Extra Sour; Roxie Special on Dutch Crunch; great veggie sandwich, too - give it a try!...complete selection of deli fare and drinks as well. The jokes are almost always funny - if not then the apologies for the jokes are worth a laugh. Go on a sunny day and catch Balboa HS or City play baseball or soccer at Balboa Park! ADD: 2nd location on Kirkham and 9th Av in Inner Sunset: sandwiches as good and usually a small line or none at all...when I'm in that part of the City, I beat the crowds closer to GGPark by going to Roxie Market...Enjoy!

Pros: Call ahead orders, Delightful service, Great tasty deal

Cons: , Can be crowded @times

I've been going to this place for sandwiches for well over a decade. The service has always been wonderful, which is why their customers are so loyal. The guys behind the counter are always cheery and will make your sandwiches to perfection. Their sandwiches are usually served hot, but you can ask them to leave it cold or in any fashion you prefer. The downside to this place is very small and cramped. if you show up during the lunch hour, you'll probably be bumping up to people. Also, there aren't any places to sit, so if you're looking for a place to sit, you'll probably to have to huddle over a newspaper vending machine or try the bench across the street at Balboa Park.

Cons: Crowded, No Seating
