Good prices but can be LOUD
by BooGeeCat
Happy hour prices have gone up to $3, still very reasonable! However, if you value your hearing, I suggest you steer clear whenever the goateed bartender is working since he really blasts the music. If you dare to stay, BRING EARPLUGS and learn sign language or bring a small white board & white board marker.
- Pros: Very convenient to 24th St. BART
- Cons: Dark (blk paint) & can be very loud
Great Dive!!
by Brentsun
This is my favorite bar in the city. It's dark, loud and slightly scary. The barkeeps are friendly but they know when to keep their distance when you want to be left alone. Don't order any fu-fu drinks and you'll get enough respect.
- Pros: Atmosphere
Horrible Staff
by frost2112
DJ decides it would be cool to do a Superman on our table; the door man doesn't do a thing about it, despite the guy practically turning people off to the place. Never going there again.
- Pros: Got to walk through the door
- Cons: Poor staff; the only worthwhile people there were the bartenders
Low light and high spirits in an ageless, two-room Mission haunt.

In Short
Hanging red lanterns illuminate a path deep into the bar, opening onto a square back room (where DJs spin rock to hip-hop, Thu-Sun). This space is filled with tightly packed tables and chairs of different heights, all black and adorned with red candles and lamps. The overall effect is to shut out the famous Mission sunshine and create an always-dark, timeless feel. This place appeals to two types, both of them young and fun.

what I love most about the attic is the possibility of dancing as the dj's are so fantastic (Fancy Feast and his sexy precursor on wednesdays) and the fact that the drinks are strong and even the girl bartenders are sweet and sassy. and strangely enough you may even talk to people you don't know there.
- Pros: dark, cheap, divey
- Cons: chairs slide around
happy hour all nite Mondays
by dodge313
Great bartenders, divey New York feel, close to 24th and Mission bart, perfect place for a Happy hour stop off. Relief from other trendy Mission bars, happy hour all nite Mondays, great drinks deal and DJs. Check out Michelle on Sunday nights, Jennifer Monday, Thursday and Friday, Tina on Weds and Chaundra Tuesday and sat. Deadly drinks, dangerous dames and diabolical decor!
- Pros: Inexpensive, Good service, good music
Great Neighborhood Bar
by martinibuster
Can't beat Muddy Mondays- happy hour all night long. Happy hour prices during the rest of the week are very low which attracts a crowd of friendly regulars.
The service is friendly and the drinks are expertly made. It's not trendy nor is it full of Lomard Clones. Just regular people doing extraordinary drinking.
- Pros: Cheap Drinks, Great Staff, No questions asked.
Fun, Funky, Dive
by margaret68sf
Two friends and I had a blast here on a Thursday night. The decor is funky, it is very dark and has a retro feel to it. It was busy but definitely not overly crowded. The only thing to look out for is the drinks, they were stiff and cheap!!! I will definitely return.
- Pros: Stiff Drinks, Cheap, Undiscovered
- Cons: Neighborhood
