Citysearch Editorial Review

All of the standard dive amenities are included in this flannel-friendly Mission dive, i.e. billiard table, photo booth, sit-down Mrs. PacMan, noxious odor, powdered detergent to wash your hands and, of course, dirt cheap drinks on the daily (think $6 pitchers of Pabst). But to say that’s all Pops has to offer would be unjust. It can be a scene on occasion but is intended to be a homey neighborhood bar that takes all kinds, and usually is. All kinds can be perceived in many different lights and in this case usually means grimy dudes and the women who love/want them.

Pops is Tops

by pinkytuscadero

I love Pops. I love the bartenders they are sexxxy -- boys and girls alike. I love their cheap strong drinks and the music. I love love the photo booth. The bar is smallish with a mixed hipster neighborhoody crowd, pool table, juke and games. In can be quiet or packed depending on when you drop by but alway a good time. Someday I wanna own a bar just like this but in another city.

A standard Mission corner bar transforms into a hipster hangout, but keeps its dirt-cheap prices.

In Short
This small bar's mismatched charm blossoms from its gray-and-rose walls, a single string of red Christmas lights and a hodgepodge of pop, rock and hip-hop classics in the jukebox. The rather plain wooden bar counter fills up one side, leaving ample room for some table seating, pinball and old-school Atari games on the other side. There's a pool table in back.

Good Prices, Easy Parking, Great Bartenders.

This is a very cute bar. I seem to have met many nice people including my favorite person Kevin! The music is good and makes you sing along to it. It can get loud, but it still can be fun. The bartenders are wonderful people. I love to sit at the bar and have a good conversation with them. It is a nice place to hang out when your looking for a fun night. You will definintely meet a mixed type of crowd, but I am sure you will enjoy it all. The drinks are also a very good price, so if your looking for something not to expense check pop's bar out!
