Huge Portions and Good Food!
by steely1
Bogaloo's has the biggest portions of food and it's delicious. Fun atmosphere, good service and fun people watching. My friend had the dish with the plantain patty and I had the chicken ceasar. The dressing was super tasty and my friends dish was really flavorful and good. Looking forward to having many more meals here!
- Pros: Awesome Ceasar and delicious Plantain Patty
- Cons: Crowded for brunch
This Mission brunch mainstay gets a hip crowd for heaping plates, funky style and a prime location.

Big plates of Mex-American breakfast, brunch and lunch make this Mission classic and neighborhood fave and a morning Mecca. Both trendy and kid-friendly, this spot's popular with the stroller-rolling moms and hungover hipsters who dig the mid-century pharmacy/soda fountain building Boogaloos is housed in, and dishes like breakfast burritos, lemon-corn pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Great news for animal-lovers too: most of the dishes can be veg-ified, and dogs are allowed at the plentiful street-side tables. Bring a newspaper to peruse as you sip on your bottomless pint-glass of coffee--or read during the twenty-minute wait that's part of your pilgrimmage.
Oh my goodness

The best greasy spoon breakfast joint (by far) that I have EVER been to....and I'm 43 years old, so I've been to quite a few. Too much food to finish, but I forced myself to finish anyway, because it was so darn good. Two thumbs way up!!
- Pros: very yummy , lots of food, large menu
- Cons: long wait-weekends
worth the wait...

i've waited almost an hour for brunch here, but the zydeco breakfast and huevos rancheros are worth it. food is always very fresh. great art on the walls from creativity explored (www.creativityexplored.org) and fun people watching, sort of a sunday morning indie fashion show.
- Pros: inexpensive, great breakfasts
- Cons: long wait

Boogaloo's is a constant in my life. I have never been dissaponted with a meal here. I highly recommend the freshly squeezed OJ and the Square Cool Combo. Be sure to get a bisquit on the side! Yum.
- Pros: great food, inexpensive, good for visitors
- Cons: long lines on weekend
over rated

I went to Boogaloos partly because of the good critical reviews that I'd seen, and to be honest, I find it a bit overrated. The food is reasonable, but expensive for what it is, and the crowd is a mix of self-consciously trendy, trying to pretend not to be yuppy Mission types. I've never felt very comfortable there.
- Pros: cheery atmosphere, different foods
- Cons: pretentious crowd
yummmm! and mimosas to boot

This place is steller. although the "kitchen cabinet" addition on the menu is a rip off- why should you have to pay extra for staples? like garlic?! and onions! okay, so it get pricey, but ambiance rocks, staff is fun and selection great.

This place is has the best breakfast in the entire city. They have fast and friendly service , great food and a great atmosphere to top it off.
- Pros: good food, fast prompt service, inexpensive
- Cons: no parking, crowded on weekends
Yummy

Funky and fun atmosphere make this a great place to grab brunch. Most notable is their vegetarian friendly menu. Their tofu scrabbles are much better than Squat & Gobble. Potatoes are awesome, as well as their sourdough toast. To avoid crowds, get there early (before 9am) on weekends.
- Pros: Vegetarian Friendly
- Cons: Can get crowded
Don't let the Disco Name Scare U

The gangly waiters here are so endearing they undercut what would otherwise be an intolerable Mission "scene." Add to that great work by the cooks: tofu scrambles always tasty, always hot and biscuits that would send Colonel Sanders back to the sty from which he erupted.
