Rolled Home
by carlwinter
Just got back from this joint. I walked there in about 5 minutes. It took about 15 to roll home after my belly was filled to the brim with that blastedly delicious smothered carnitas burrito.
Ridiculously overrated by this site
by michedes
it is misleading to rate this the number 1 burrito in SF. The restaurant is dirty and the service is hap-hazard, if friendly. The food is quite inexpensive however the sacrifice in quality level is apparent. The protein portions are not generous enough to really flavor the dish. The insanely loud juke box makes dining room uncomfortable.
Traditional taqueria fare made from fresh ingredients highlights this Bay Area chain.

In Short
Each location of this mini-chain caters to an eclectic crowd, ranging from Latino families to pierced and tattoed artists. The lively atmosphere is accentuated by Mexico's greatest hits pumping through the sound system. The menu includes burritos, tacos, enchiladas and tamales. The ingredients range from well-seasoned pollo and carne asadas to carnitas, al pastor and a wide array of salsas.
- Pros: Cheap eats
- Cons: Very popular
Great at all locations!

Quickly rose to the top of the city taquerias for me due to their liberal use of avocado and the amazing al pastor. Put those both in the Super Nachos and add their fantastic actually-hot-enough salsas and you may never stray too far yourself.
- Pros: Pork, ceviche, negra modelo
- Cons: Whoa! That jukebox is loud!
Best veggie burrito
by kimterry25
The best veggie burrito in town. Excellent salsa verde, cilantro, and fresh avocado with beans, rice, and cheese. Must try!
Great Burritos in the Mission, with Friendly Service, in a Festive Atmosphere
by dancergirl21
This is where I go for a burrito in the Mission. They are always friendly, fast, and I love the multi-colored flags hanging from the ceiling. The place feels happy and welcoming, as a taqueria should. Sometimes there's a line, but it goes by relatively quickly. A friend has told me that they have the best veggie burrito in the Mission ...
- Pros: Cheap, good food in the Mission
- Cons: Can be busy, A little messy
great nachos

The super nachos are the best late night snack ever. Delicious refried beans, avacado, cheese...I can't imagine anything better at two in the morning. Word.
- Pros: great food
- Cons: crowded and messy
Late night, price right

There's many taquerias in this neighborhood, many good ones. This is one of the good ones. Good service, nice crowd, authentic ambience. I had the quesadilla suiza with carne asada. It was filling and as good as any. My wife ate a super burrito al pastor. Someone could make two meals out of each of those. And for under $5 for each. I can recommend taqueria Cancun.
Adios Mios

I walked in by happenstance, just trying to get something to eat before heading downtown. I was visiting the outer Mission. Been in the neighboorhood once before to eat at Blue Plate. "Al Pastor burrito," I said to the guy behind the counter. Everyone was very pleasant. A few minutes later, he came to me with the burrito. I ate it as I walked down the street, slowly unwrapping the aluminum foil. Looked good. Took a bit*e. I had to look down at the burrito again, in disbelief. If you never eat here, you will never know. But I suggest taking the time, borrowing the airfare, whether you're in Redwood City, El Cerrito, or in SOMA, do whatever you need to do to get here. It's the stuff of urban legends. It's that good.
- Pros: The Food
- Cons: Absolutely Nothing
