When I first spoke with them on the phone the woman on the line seemed rushed and not particularly courteous, but I hired them despite that initial red flag. I asked her for moving boxes ahead of time and she said they could provide used ones for $1 apiece. They showed up three days later with just a few brand new ones for $3.50 apiece instead. Second red flag. When I called again to ask for more boxes I had the great misfortune of having to deal with Mr. O'Connor (sp?), the owner, who was incredibly rude, impatient, and arrogant. He wanted to charge me extra for the second delivery despite the fact that they didn't send me enough in the first place. I kindly told him I'd get boxes elsewhere and he hung up, telling me he'd call me back in a few minutes. 1/2 hour later one of their employees showed up banging on my door with a second delivery of brand new boxes. He seemed extremely flustered when I told him I never asked for them and wanted to send them back. When I shared my frustration with him he said the old man is rude to everyone and very difficult to work with so I should not take it personally, but I was literally on the verge of tears. I finally canceled the move and found another company that would with me on a two-day notice. I have never given anyone such a negative rating, but these people do not care enough to deserve anyone's business. If I could give them zero stars I would. They are not to be trusted.
Pros: None
Cons: Horrible service, rude, not trustworthy

The furniture can be cute, vintage, retro..whatever, but the owner doesn't appreciate your business. She looks at you like she is doing you a favor when you buy her overpriced furniture from her. She gave me the wrong measurements on the dresser I bought and when I brought it home I couldn't even fit in my apartment. What a hassle. NEVER AGAIN!

When I went to this warehouse, I was content with the selection. However, the day it was scheduled to be delivered, they were nearly two hours late. Furthermore, when we called the owner to reschedule, he was rude, yelling, and adamant that we wait for the furniture to arrive despite the fact that our building was already closed. Furthermore, he simply stated he didn't need our business. Then he abruptly hung up on our office manager. Therefore, unless you want to deal with disrespectful and horrible service for mediocre furniture...I recommend this to be the last place on earth you buy second-hand furniture.
Cons: Service

After reading a number of positive comments online, I spoke to an employee of the firm a week ago and made a reservation for moving services which included hoisting and other difficult aspects. When I was not contacted within a week I phoned for more details. I was told by a different person (I assume the owner) that these services essentially could not, or would not, be available. He was extremely rude and confrontational, more rude than I have ever encountered as a customer of any business anywhere. The discussion basically devolved into an argument with him telling me what they would do, and would not do, and accusing me of putting his employees lives in jeopardy. With less than a week left before my move I was forced to hire another firm for my move and would caution anyone about hiring Harrington Brothers.
