Very friendly and delicious food/drinks

by justicedeja

This place is so cozy and love the middle eastern decor. I was visiting with my husband from NY and we stopped by to get a drink. The owner (Ben) was super friendly, gave us lots of wine tasting, a dessert on the house, and cooked up a special fried shrimp with scallop. the atomosphere was great, The strawberry mojito was great too. They have hookah too, which we didn't try. I'd definately go back if i'm around SF again!

Hi Five.....let's go again

by bubbabastian

wow....to be honest... this place was like no other

i really expected nothing good or jaw dropping from Casablanca Cafe

....i went over the reviews and expected the worse.. but hey,

i gave it a shot....

And Wow...people are really ignorant, when it comes to real food...lol

Americans are so washed up with junk and commercialized food...

they seem to forget what real food tastes like...that's society for you!!!

Me and the guys went over there just to have our Friday meetings

u know...Beer and wine..with two hookahs (apple) and (peach)...YES!!!

So we where laughing along having a blast...we where some what loud ...

but hey, it's Friday night......the owners came and asked us what we would like..

joked and smiled...and we ordered :Wraps and Pasta...lamb,chicken,shrimp, whatever !!!

about a good 12 min our food came....And it was all exquisite ...And the smell was to die for..

so, the owners moved the tables for us....and made everything comfortable..

From there, we all jumped into it...no talking from there.."survive of the fit "...lol

..it was delicious ...every bit made u want more....u can actually taste what your eating...

...towards the end ..we shared and we loved it....the alfredo shrimp..(George order) was honestly delicious in so many ways. U had alot of shrimp and the sauce was perfect..

my wrap..was the combo..chicken/lamb....and it was like a Mediterranean dish wrapped up.. "figure licking good!!"... after that amazing battle... we smiled... gotten some energy drinks and kissed the battle field good bye...but we are coming back...

...the environment was good....the music and people made u feel at home....or maybe it was those couches that made me lay down..lol

um...service was sweet..

they knew what was up....there up to beat...

food...perfect...

drinks...a little high...but money is not a problem...u go out to experience something new...if u watch every nickel and dime .. just stay home..lol

  • Pros: Two thumbs up, food, service, envirment ....music....
  • Cons: ...nothing but parking...

Casablanca a great little place

by bpara027

I love this restaurant, it's neighborhood feel is comfortable and welcoming. I especially like to eat here when Michelle is cooking, the presentation and taste is exceptional. The carrot cake is to die for with a latte for dessert.

Avoid This Place... Truly.

by dsage112482

Any good review this place had (above two stars) is a crime. I should have walked away when I noticed that there were no prices on anything...

The Hookah (which was the sole reason I went) was equivalent to trying to suckup a whole piece of fruit through a tiny straw... after attempting to do so for 20 minutes or so, the Hookah died. Now, given that I have smoked all up the west coast from Seattle to San Diego, when the Hookah doesn't last for at LEAST a half hour there is something wrong. At this point, my fiance and I sat around for another 15 minutes or so for the bill, until I finally got up & had to request it. The owner/manager waved at me to sit back down and mumbled something (incoherent at best)... so I sat back down and waited for the bill... After another 10 minutes or so of waiting, we got together some money, put it under the Hookah and left.

I should also mention that we were charged a $5 cover for a belly dancer... Needless to say the belly dancer was very (I stress that word) overweight. It also did not help that some creepy guy in the corner was staring over at this 10 year old girl every time her parents looked away & did the same to my fiance when I got up to request the bill.

If you are looking for a creepy atmosphere, terrible service & Hookahs that you are guaranteed to last longer in bed than... this is your place.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by ssdiner

Honestly, it doesn't even deserve the time I am taking to write this horrible review, but I think you all should know...

It was just the worst experience all around, food was disgusting and service was nonexistent...

I won't even waste anymore of my time nor should you in even thinking of going there.

PLEASE DON'T CALL THAT MOROCCAN

by posenergy

This restaurant is not Moroccan by any standards. I am Moroccan and I know Moroccan when I see it.

The food lacks all the necessary spices, it's greasy and it's not even served the way it's supposed to be. The atmosphere is totally not Moroccan, the seating is awkward, and the woman who owns the place and claims she is Moroccan is Not.

Moroccans are known for their hospitality, and this woman tends to ignore that, she has nothing to do with being a restaurateur or Moroccan.

Don't bother

by sanatroy

This was the worst meal I've had in the city hands down. Whoever wrote the great review obviously works for the owners. My friend and I went last night and I saw some lamb with apricot and prunes on the specials menue. Sounds alright although there was no one in the resteraunt. The loud owner was very unproffessional. She sat us down at a table and spoke of some wines they had, offering choices that were more than what the wine list had. I tried some wine she recomended. It was not good but whatever, I thought. I asked for the lamb and she told us the chef wasn't there so they don't have the specials. That was the only reason we went in so I was about to say screw it we'll go some other place when she offered to cook it herself. That sounded nice so we stayed. My friend ordered the Greek salad. The lamb was oversaturated with flavor and the sauce was thick and sugary. I had to fight with the lamb to get any meat off the bones. An F-ing mess and I wasn't even full. The salad looked like something out of a safeway bag and tasted like it. They gave us regular bread rolls slightly toasted. There was nothing to this meal. You gotta do better than that in S.F. It's like they came from Oklahoma and said "isn't this what Moroccan should taste like?" Then we get the bill and everything is right except the sour wine she "recommended" was $10! WTF. I know my wine and it shouldn't taste like it was made in your bathtub for 10 bucks. Out of your mind woman! And the owner was yelling through the restaurant with her loud voice the whole time. I could only listen to her with raised eyebrows. Great way to do business lady (sarcasm). This place won't last long.

  • Pros: food for the starving
  • Cons: wine, food, basically everything
