Fabulous sushi, great service. I originally found this sushi spot on a recommendation from a concierge on a trip to SF. We have been dining here for the last 5 years thanks to them! The sushi is always fresh. They make probably the best Philly rolls in the Bay Area. The service is great, food amazing and I love that it's an undiscovered gem.

Duped!. While the fish itself was decent, I have to say I have never been so disappointed with a sushi experience in my life! For those who say this is "authentic" I'm absolutely floored; I ordered the omakase, and to my horror was presented with what was essentially a $25 combo plate. I've never been served an omakase like this, and have never not been asked about preferences--the chefs are rude and, in this instance, completely inauthentic. I felt so ripped off! I'm glad I'm visiting from out of town, because I'll definitely go home to L.A. and get REAL piece-by-piece, chef's choice, omakase--not a sloppy tuna roll and a bunch of less than stellar nigiri sushi pieces.

No-frills decor but fabulous fish at this Union Square sushi bar.. In Short
Tourists often wander right past this Post Street hole-in-the-wall sushi spot -- unless they're in the know or from Japan. Despite its unassuming ambience, the eatery is listed in Japanese guidebooks as THE place to get a fresh-fish fix in the city. On weekend nights, locals line the sushi bar, each looking as though they were the first to discover how terrific the sashimi and tempura is here.

Simple but excellent. This restaurant is definitely for a sushi enthusiast. Their fish are extremely fresh and cut to perfection. Great quality and good value. The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side but the service is awesome.

Good Sushi!. If you are looking for close to Japanese style sushi and sashimi, this is good. I wouldn't call this a "California roll" place. The staff is traditional Japanese. Pay attention to the daily fresh items.

Unfriendly. Very good food. But very unfriendly. Such a shame. Real Japanese cheffs and waitresses. Food is good but bit expensive. Appetizer is Oishii and authentic, better than their sushi.

wonderful. I was visiting my brother for his wedding and stumbled upon this place while walking around the Union Square area. Fish was fresh, rolls were amazing and reasonably priced. I would go back again.

Talk about Fresh!. This Japenese restaurant does not rip the customers off.. I mean, you pay for what you get.. Although the prices are a little high, but they give you fresh fish, or sashimi... You can tell by their hamachi, it's so fresh that it's SO SWEET.. You will love their hamachi if you love raw fish.
