I've been walking dogs for over seven years. Every dog I've taken to Russian Hill groomers comes home looking fantastic. Really one of the best groomers in the area.

They should be prosecuted for animal abuse

We have had difficulty finding a groomer who can do the fussy cut of a Bedlington terrier and went to Leonard at Russian Hill Dog Grooming because he has experience with the breed. He did a terrific cut -- but at an unacceptable cost to our sweet puppy: He gave her clipper burns on the underside of her tail (at the base) and on her ears, and the day after she was groomed, both ears became infected. We ended up with a veterinarian's bill for $246, as well as days of misery as the puppy suffered, scooting and trying to lick the wound on her tail.

These people should be prosecuted for animal abuse.

Wow, this is a great place

Wow, I couldn't believe the previous reviewer who used the words "despicable" and "nightmare" in describing this dog grooming salon. I have been taking my dog to Leonard and his great staff for 2 years and have never had a problem with them at all. They have been nothing but friendly, professional, and loving to their "clients". Not only are they dedicated to their profession, they also live in the neighborhood, and understand the importance of maintaining good relationships with all of us who bring our pets to them.

this place is an absolute nightmare ... as are the bullies who own and run it. truly despicable. do yourself, and more importantly, your pet ... run as fast as you both can and never, ever set foot in this place. trust me on this one. i promise i know what i'm talking about. they should be shut down, but for some reason they continue to be in business.

RUN!

• Cons: awful, awful, awful people and treatment of customer ... imagine how they are with your pet!

excellent groomers, easy scheduling clean place

ok ,so most dog grooming places scare the heck out of me. Groomers with 5 inch spikes coming out of their noses, will not be grooming my dog. Russian Hill caters to people who LOVE their dogs.

My little shih tzu goes here once a month. Scheduling is easy I drop her off and pick her up in a few hours.

She is always calm and not tramatized when i get pick her up and the grooom job is 5 stars.

They could learn to do a top knot though.. The pony tail i( that keeps the hair out of her eyes always too tight = ) ...easily fixed when i pick her up. I'm sure if i mention it they will get it.

My little dog is so wiggly, grooming her is not an easy job! Thanks russian hill ... nice place to take your beloved pooch.

• Pros: great staff. clean professional, easy scheduling and drop off
• Cons: not so good with dog top knots

Excellent / Professional / Best in Town!

This is the best groomer in San Francisco. They care... they never are too booked to take my dog - whatever fits into my schedule they acommodate. I get stopped on the street from people asking where my maltese gets groomed. The best cuts I have seen.

• Pros: FREE 10 minute parking in front of shop!!

Great groomers, very personable and prompt
