This place is trashy and the tanning beds are so outdated. They do not sell swimwear as stated here on Citysearch. I say if your going to fake &bake use only the best equipment. And if you're thinking of painting that tan on, your better off going somewhere that offers airbrush. This place has a crappy machine that leaves you all streaky and orange.

go ANYWHERE else

I was a loyal regular at CDST for 6+ years right after I moved to the city. It was relatively close to home, the prices couldn't be beat and there was always someone super-friendly behind the desk to chat with if you had to wait for a bed.

But something sinister happened to that place between spring & summer of this year, and between the greedy new management, unwarranted price hikes and the outdated equipment....

I can't find a single reason to walk through those doors.

Clean convenient and reasonable

as far as tanning places in the city go, this place is the best value for your money. it's also the only place with high pressure beds in the north beach/ nob/ russian hill area. buying a package is the best way to go.

• Cons: single packages are expensive

Great Service and High Quality Beds

I went to CDS for the first time today and was throughly satisfied with my tanning experience. The sales girl was friendly and knowledgable and the prices are quite reasonable. You can even get a great deal by printing the tanning deal coupon on their website. I will definitely make this place my new tanning home.

I shopped around and did much research on tanning establishments. I went to several different places and was disappointed time and time again either due to quality or service or both. I feel that you truly get your moneys worth along with just an overall positive experience when you go here.

Like a week on the beach, in less than 20 minutes

I love this place! Whether I just want to buy one low pressure session, a package, or whatever, the staff is always helpful and never pushy. They answered all my questions, no matter how basic, and are always polite. With your own stereo system, you can listen to whatever music (cd or radio) you want. The rooms are always clean. I tried the sunless tanning once, and while I don't think I prefer it, the lady was extremely helpful and took a lot of time to show me how to do it to make sure I didn't get streaks (and her advice was very good!). I always feel happy, tan, and relaxed when I leave.

A mini vacation

Going to this salon is like taking a mini vacation. This is my favorite getaway next to an actual vacation. The customer service makes it the ultimate in experiences. The products supplied are always up to date. Comfort and privacy. I always get taken care of at Costa Del Sol. This place rocks!!!

Greatest customer service.

I always enjoy going to this salon mostly because of the extremely nice staff. It makes the experience that much more pleasurable. The beds are always perfect and I never had to wait and if ever there was a delay I would be entertained by some stimulating conversation with one of the employees. Always a good time at Costa Del Sol. I highly recommend this to be your only tanning source on San Francisco.

• Pros: inexpensive, always parking, super convenient
• Cons: Not open late enough
