Kimberly is your answer. After a bad decision to bleach out my beautiful highlighted hair to a platinum blond. “Well let just say it was a chicken yellow instead”. I felt like a cheep @$%^&(@… Looking and searching for a solutions to fix this mess I got myself into. I started to research the internet. Before I went to see Kimberly I went to another highly recommended salon, they told me I would have to grow my natural color out 2 to 3 inches and sent me on my way telling me there is nothing they could do at this time. Not a pretty site my roots are quite dark brown. I knew there had to be a solution. I have seen others with as blond of hair but not this yellow undertone. Thinking there was nothing after my visit at the last salon I went to consult with Kimberly. She took her time to explain to me what happened and how we could resolve my problem with a quick and not a very expensive way. Thank god for her!!! My boyfriend never dares to say a thing to me about my hair but he said honey, your hair looks great. I really love it! I guess he did not like sleeping with that chicken yellow hair girl. J Now I have gone in for my first highlights with Kimberly and wow! I did not know how she could fix the 1-inch outgrowth that I had but she did. I get many compliments on my hair now. My color is this beautiful hue of pearl blond. I feel better than ever and now I am thankful that I had such a bad experience because I would of never of found Kimberly. She is fun person too, a plus. She is quite busy so it took me a while to get in to see her but it was totally worth the wait. All I can say is get your appointments now cuz this girl is going to be busy. I love the fact she has online booking too…Thanks Kimberly you’re my hair god.

I have been to many of the top salons in San Francisco over the past 4 years (77 Maiden Lane, Cowboys and Angels, and Cinta to name a few...) searching for a stylist who I like that can both cut and color hair. It's been a long, frustrating search but I've finally found her...Kimberly G at Acme Head and Body!! I'm a blonde and constantly on the hunt for the perfect shade of white blonde that's not too yellow or ashy. For some reason every place I've been has messed up my color (always too natural, mousey, or yellow) but Kimberly totally understood me and GOT THE COLOR RIGHT! Not only that, she has a super cool personality (she's very easy to talk to and SO knowledgeable) and my hair cut rocked too! I recommend her to anyone who is fed up with the "top" San Francisco salons and wants to finally have their hair done right!

Kimberly cut and styled my hair for the first time Thursday (3-13-08). I have just moved to SF from the East coast and had no idea where to go to get my hair done. To say I have problem hair is an understatement. I have thick natural curls that are such a problem to control. I went to Kimberly with my friends suggestion (and wonderful praises), as she has been seeing Kim for a year or so now. I went in with ideas of what I wanted to leave with, I had hopes of getting a good cut that I will be able to style myself once I go home. I had zero hopes that she would be able to style my hair like I wanted, no one has ever been able to. Kim amazed me. She not only cut my hair just as I asked of her she was able to style my hair like never before. Better than my highest hopes. I am THRILLED with Kim. I would, and will, recommend her to everyone I know. And to top it off she is a wonderful personality who listens to you and really cares about you as her client. No rushing to get to the next client. She spent so much time with me and really made me happier with my hair than I think I've ever been. Thank you Kimberly!! YOU ROCK

I have very thick, wavy, coarse hair. Kimberly is the first stylist who actually gets it. I love that I can schedule an appointment for a full cut or just to have my hair thinned. Yesterday, Kimberly colored my hair, which has been going gray for about five years. Kimberly's color work is fabulous--she worked with the gray to have it act as highlights. I've gotten nothing but compliments on the color. I love it! Thank you Kimberly.

When I moved to San Francisco from the east coast, I did so with excitement, but also a pang of regret that I had to leave my hair stylist of many years. She and I had bonded as I sat in her chair over so many things, and she consistently gave me the best looking hair I had ever known. So needless to say I was a bit apprehensive about finding a good stylist here. So I went online to find out what kind of experiences other people were having with their stylists. I found Holly on CitySearch, and everyone seemed to really like her. I made my appointment online – so easy! When I stepped into the salon, I was greeted warmly, and immediately took note of the adorable décor. Holly introduced herself and we got started. I felt comfortable with her right away because I could tell she was really listening to what I wanted. I didn’t want anything too crazy, since I was still feeling separation anxiety from my beloved ex-stylist. Holly totally delivered. She matched my color perfectly, and she gave me a cut that really flattered the shape of my face and was super-stylish at the same time. Since then I have been back to Holly several times, and I liked her so much that I even created this CitySearch profile just to tell the world about how great she is! We’ve started branching out with my color and style, and every time I see her I leave her chair looking better than the time before. I am so happy to have found a west coast rival to my east coast stylist! No one can match what I had with her, but Holly has introduced me to a whole new chapter of my hair-related life!

I LOVE KIMBERLY G. In all honesty Kimberly G. is the best hairstylist that has ever touched my hair and let me tell you I have been to a lot of hairstylist, so that says A LOT! I hated my hair, simply because it had that brassy look with tons of different colors weaved in it. It looked extremely fake, sort of trashy and not to mention extremely damaged! I basically told her I wanted to try and keep the length and I let her do her thing! She gave me a more elegant, classy, layered look with a more natural color. Exactly what I was looking for! One thing that amazed me was before I went in I could barely run my fingers through my hair without hitting a tangle but after Kimberly was done with my hair it was so sleek and soft! She is truly amazing and can work wonders on hair you wouldn’t think could ever be fixed! So if you hair needs color correction, highlight, lowlights, touch ups or even just a cut, Kimberly is the stylist for you! I can say I normally don’t just let any stylist do what they want to my hair, but if you need someone you can trust with your hair, GO TO KIMBERLY! I promise you won’t just fall in love with her talented, creative skills but her sweet, optimistic personality as well!

I have found the VERY BEST stylist in the City. Kimberly is the stylist that most of us search and search for and some of us are fortunate to finally find. Not only does she give GREAT haircuts, she does my color and highlights like no one else ever has – I’m so pleased with Kimberly’s work. Even with all the color and highlights, my hair is in really good condition, again thanks to Kimberly. When I leave the salon after she has done my hair – I feel great. Many, many are the times when leaving other salons that I have not felt that way, in fact would go home and restyle my hair. I cannot imagine anyone going to Kimberly for a haircut/style or color and not being really pleased and feeling good about how they look --- And to top it off she is so very nice.

Dennis used to be a chef, and he brings the same grace and assurance to hair color. I went in with a color emergency and he fixed it without breaking stride! And without damaging my hair. My color is natural and classy. His relaxed personality influences the whole salon. Not stuffy or stuck-up, it is friendly and approachable. It's also in a convenient location--a few doors from Loehmann's!

I have been traveling from stylist to stylist for over 4 years now and everytime I leave the salon, I am disappointed with either the work they did or the personality of the stylist. I was referred to Holly from a friend of mine and when I made the appointment, I was thinking to myself "here I go again". When I walked into the salon, there was a warm and welcoming energy. The salon is very unique, I've never seen anything like it. It's absolutely adorable. I was a little hesitant, as I have always had unpleasant service in the past, but Holly made me feel comfortable right away. I'm not sure what it was that made me so relaxed, but just the way she did the consultation assured me she knew what she was doing. Not only did she know what she was doing, but she actually has a strong passion for it that you can see in her eyes. I would recommend her to anyone. I couldn't stay away from the mirror. The way she cut my hair framed my face perfectly and the color looked absolutely amazing. Go see her soon before she's booked!

Melissa Ruiz works Sundays only (she's also the Color Specialist at San Francisco Institute of Esthetics & Cosmetology full-time) but she's very accomodating with her schedule. She really listens during the consultation and gave me exactly what I wanted, making the appropriate changes for my face shape and hair texture. Her specialty is color yet I also got a fabulous haircut. Oh, and was her shampoo the most relaxing shampoo I've ever experienced!
