Budget-friendly eatery with a clandestine location doles out dim sum and traditional Chinese fare on the cheap.

by Lorraine Sanders at Citysearch

In Short
Tucked away at the end of a small alley in Chinatown, this casual tea room is widely known as one of the neighborhood's oldest dim sum establishments. With simple yellow- and green-accented interiors, the dining room plays host to a diverse clientele of families, tourists and regulars who feast on specialties like BBQ pork buns, shrimp dumplings and veggie pot stickers. A full menu of rice plates, fried rice dishes, chow mein and noodle soups is available.

Excellent Food & Service

by waternite at Citysearch

The restaurant opens from 10 AM to Mid-nite everyday. They serve excellent dim sum until 9PM. You shouldn't miss the shrimp dumpling. One more thing you should try is the dessert. I like their home-made ice-cream and mango pudding too. Since, they open until mid-nite, it's a place to hang around for some snake food and dessert after late-nite movie.

The only drawback is that the restaurant is in a small alley, it's quite hard to find during the nite time.

  • Pros: Inexpensive, Nice remodeling, Easy Parking
