Best sandwiches in S.F.. This place is a whole in the wall but a neighborhood institution. They have the best sandwiches in San Francisco. I especially love the turkey. The people who work there are very friendly and make you feel at home. They have tables outside, or you can take you sandwich next door to Farley's I always buy a sandwich to take with me when I fly on JetBlue or Southwest. Try it, you'll like it. Guaranteed.

Are you really out of eggs and bagels AGAIN????. Before Hazel's moved it's new, larger space, it was a favorite for an egg and bagel sandwich on a weekend morning. Located right next to the best coffee house ever (Farley's) it made a perfect spot to grab a tasty, inexpensive breakfast with a great coffee... The sandwiches at lunch were also tasty and quick. Since the move, however, things seem to have gone downhill. I have been there three times in the recent weeks hoping for my favorite egg and bagel breakfast sandwich. Twice they have been out of eggs (there's a store on the corner!!!! Go buy some more) and once out of bagels. Also, the staff doesn't seem as friendly as it once was... I hope Hazel's can pull out of this nosedive! But for the time being, I won't be hoping for that egg and bagel sandwich!

This place was great.... but since remodeling they have hired hippy-chick versions of Beavis & Butthead. So now, as the previous reviewer mentioned, you do stand in a small room waiting for your order ?the good news: its a slightly larger room.

Editorial Review. This tiny take-out shop's sandwiches, salads, soups and daily specials like mac 'n cheese keep the Potrero Hill crowd happy.

Wonderful little Hazle's. If you blink, you may miss this hole in the wall. And although this is a hole in the wall, it is a very cute one at that! I've eaten here more than a few times and I've been impressed with the swiftness of service b/c I don't like standing in a 10 X 5 room...however there are tables outside if you wish to chow down immediately. The sandwhiches are yummy, and menu choices are varied...if you haven't had a bite to eat here, I definetly recommend Turkey and Cranberry on Dutch Crunch...mmmm!
