Don't eat here

I've been excitedly waiting to try Maya. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by high prices, mediocre service, and bland food. A house margarita comes in a small glass and is $6.75! They refused to accomodate a very simple vegetarian request that even the most economical of Mexican restaurants in the Mission have been more than happy to. When I did get my appetizer-entree, someone had dumped too much fake smoke flavoring in--it was inedible. I will never go back here.

Unimaginative taste and presentation masquerading as "gourmet" Mexican. What a disappointment.

Overpriced

This place is way overpriced. The food is not that great and servings are small. Not your typical Mexican cuisine. For 27$ you receive a very small portion filet mignon and very small side dish. Not worth it.

Horrible

The food was not very good, the margaritas were downright bad, and the service was completely unattentive. For the price, I was expecting a whole lot more. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone (unless I was mad at them).
