330 Ritch is a great bar with great bartenders. Perfect for a drink before a Giants game, or at night for Popscene.
- Pros: easy location
- Cons: bathroom can be gross

This red-hot SoMa live music and dance venue is the place to see upcoming indie bands and world-famous DJs in an intimate space.

Under new management by a crew of super-connected SF natives, this formerly derelict dance club now packs in crowds of hip/posh partiers most nights of the week. The space was renovated--obtrusive wall knocked out, leather booths put in--but, otherwise, it's still an all-you-need-and-nothing-else music venue: two bars, one stage and enough speakers to make your fillings vibrate. 330 still hosts Popscene, the legendary (18-and-up) indie showcase, but it's the frequent "secret shows" by famous friends of the club's new owners--think DJ AM and Steve Aoki--that keep the cool kids coming.
Great Friday Night....

FANTASTIC!!! - I always liked 330 Ritch for the diverse crowd and good music, but historically the place wasn't 100% reliable and was in total need of a facelift.... apparently a new mgmt team have taken over and have totally re-vamped the place without loosing the charachter. I was there last Friday for a 'preview' night (apparently the re-furb isn't even finished), and the place was totally rocking. Great crowd with the perfect mix of cool, classy and fun. A lot of new places in SF try so hard to be exclusive when they open, but end up totally pretentious. 330 Ritch finds the perfect balance....
SF has been in urgent need of a 'go-to' place for people who want to listen to good music, with a good crowd... hopefully (if last Friday was anything to go by) they now have that.
- Pros: Great crowd, great music...
- Cons: hard to find
POPSCENE

went here once, by my self, a few months ago and had a very good time. I really good place to go if you like to people watch...interesting clicks in the space...it's actually kinda funny but cute. I love the music and the corny 50/60's soul ain't bad especially if you've been drinking. Overall a very fun crowd and the show I say was Really good. Great job who ever throws this party
- Pros: POPSCENE
nobody showed up to open the bar on a friday night
by jgro415
I have been to 330 Ritch many times. it's between my old gaming company and my new one. So when I decided to throw my birthday party there on a friday night, i was very disappointed to find that nobody was there to open the bar. 1, it was a FRIDAY, 2, I tried to call many times to tell them that I had RSVP'd over 50 people to attend, and there was no way to leave a message unless I planned a catered affair. 3, the sign on the door, the message from the number, everything said it opened at 5pm, every 15 minutes someone went to check to see if someone showed up, and it never happened. there was even a 7pm baseball game, so the neighborhood was packed. I've never been so disappointed. Thank you Brickhouse for picking up the slack and being soo accomodating, and taking care of a large group on the fly.
Popscene Rocks!!
by becks23
Ok - I don't know about 330 Ritch per se, but I know I've only gone here for Popscene events. Music and the crowds are AMAZING - live acts from all over the world -but especially from the UK come out to play to a small crowd. Shows are very intimate and just an absolute mad time. Definitely a great venue to catch live bands play. The security men are indeed sometimes rude, but hey I guess they are just doing their job. So if you're looking for a great music venue/place to hang out - esp on Thursday nights, you definitely have to check out Popscene. Mad props to Aaron Axelsen who's been spearheading this and keeping anglo live music alive in SF! (that sounded funny) Cheers!
- Pros: great music, great bands, great atmosphere
- Cons: parking, security guys can be rude, restrooms are always NASTY
security very rude

I wanted to tell you about my first time

DAMN... I have never been to a club in SF before, but I had SO MUCH FUN the night that I went (to Faith) and danced with SO MANY cute boys and just had awesome, wholesome, clean fun... well, maybe not wholesome, but the other two FOR SURE... yum... bois... I definitely DEFINITELY recommend 330 Ritch. It can be totally sketch or totally cool and clean - it is what you make it, and that's why it rocks : ) Hope to see you there... I can't WAIT to go back!!!
- Pros: Dancing, Music, Bois
Popscene-My Sacred Haven

This is the place, not necessarily to hook up, but to enjoy music that you really can't get anywhere else. I actually enjoy it's non-sleazy atmosphere--it allows me to let loose and completely let down my guard. Dj's Aaron and Jeremy are super nice and have the best taste in music. Concerts are PHENOMENAL--I just saw Ash last week, and nearly fainted. Even if you want to go to hook up--I think the quality is wayyy up there.
- Pros: Great Music, Great Concerts, Safe
- Cons: small, poor ventilation, Bad parking
