Getting vibed at farley's

This place used to be great, been coming here for many years with no problems,
but as of late its been badvibe central....bet I am not the only one catching these waves.
My favorite was when I got a mocha and they put a big dollop of smug pissyness right on
top without me even asking.

This place is so awesome. You can sit inside or out. It is not too big, its just the right size. There is a lot to look at when you are inside. The coffee tastes quite delicious. If you are walking along the streets of San fran, make sure to check it out.
This place my newest home away from home. Farley's I love you!

The coffee is delicioso, and the free wi-fi and abundant outlet space has made this place my newest home away from home. The overflowing magazine walls, also the perfect diversion from actually getting work done. But, my productivity is saved by the tasteful selection of music and the mild din that suffuses this place, providing just the right atmosphere for my intellectual juices to percolate.
As a member of the work-from-home crew that haunts Bay Area coffeehouses, I am proud to have hung my temporary shingle at Farley's. Even if I don't "dress to make like I don't want to impress," when I show up at this hipster haven, one of the staff members is always there to serve me up my one-size fits all coffee with a vegan cookie on the side.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing

I'm the kind of person who sees a Starbucks and looks for a rocket launcher. So when visiting a friend I discovered Farley's. The staff was great and the various coffee drinks reminded me of being on a street corner in Paris. If your ever on Portreo Hill and need a cup of liquid heaven, then Farley's is your place. they also have an amazing magazine selection, like a newsstand in LA or NYC. Its Fantastic!! You can read the mags that are for sale while your sitting there having your coffee.
- Pros: COFFEE, sweets, magazine selection, great music
- Cons: nothing
Giant java drinks and a no-way-Jose policy on nonfat milk make this coffeehouse a local favorite.

In Short
In addition to serving huge bowls of espresso, tea, cider and coffee--made with whole milk or none at all--this Potrero hangout strives to build community by holding events like artist-of-the-month showcases. The interior is stripped-down but homey, boasting assorted amenities like board games, well-thumbed magazines and a guest journal, where customers can write poetry, draw sketches or browse the entries from over the years.

I've lived on Potrero Hill for 12 years. This place has never been friendly. Almost always astoundingly rude with the exception of some staff people who can be nice at times. I've overheard staff people and owner saying nasty things about customers. The owner is snobish for some reason I've never been able to understand - very nice to some people and utterly rude to others. It's kinda par for the neighborhood. I've had the same nasty treatment from Christopher's Bookstore owner. Not a good way to do business.
Love It!

Farley's, one of the few great independent coffehouses in the city, is a great spot to hang-out with friends, read the paper or one of the hundred magazines, or to just sit around a read a book. Always interesting music being played, this truly unique cafe is an all-time classic.
PS. Try the seven layer bar!

this one time great hang out has gotten the attitude that one used to go there to escape.
the staff is so rude, it makes the coffee taste bad. they act as if they are doing you a favor for selling you an average cup of coffee. no choice of milk, only extra rich dare you ask!
PL-EASE, having lived on Potrero for 10 years, I'm utterly disgusted in the low road Farley's has resorted to.
- Pros: lots of tables
- Cons: rude staff, no parking, bad attitudes abound
A really chilled out place
