Great Time
by lawdog300
My wife and I found this great bar after buying our 51 Chevy. The atmosphere was great! There is an amazing collection of classic motorcycles, live swing piano with singer, great food and great service. I wanted to stay all nite. I think some of the other comments are pure slander. Thanks
- Pros: killer atmosphere
- Cons: none
the worst experience at a restaurant EVER
by yogagrl13
A group of us went for dinner, when we arrived were told that our reservation didn't exist.
1 hour after being seated, our drinks finally arrived- several were incorrect.
After another 20 minutes, the waitress took our order, & let us know that one of the items we wanted from the menu wasn't really available, she also told us she never reads the menu ( what?!)
45 minutes later, our food arrived. It was mediocre at best, and expensive.
When I went to pay the bill, I let the waitress know that we were not happy with the service we received, (in a non-confrontational, " just so you know for future reference" way) She then proceeded to yell at me across the restaurant as I walked back to our table, and contined to yell as we left the restaurant, and said nasty things to the other people in my party.
- Pros: none tha I can see
- Cons: slow service, abusive waitstaff, incorrect menu
Reservations Not Honored
by kuanmei
I called to make a reservation for a large group. I was told it would be "no problem". However, they did not take down my phone number. When my party arrived, they were told that they were too late and they had already given away the table to another group. We were told that the restaurant policy is to hold tables for 15 minutes and then they can give them away. However, we arrived before the 15 minutes were up and the party sitting in our table was already eating bread. Extremely poor customer service.
- Pros: don't know
BEST CHEAPEST RIB-EYE AROUND!
by mariacarmen
We LOVE this place. And believe me, we are no strangers to haute cuisine. What you get here is old-school atmosphere, very good food at really decent prices, and very friendly and prompt service. where else are you going to get a huge $13 rib eye steak with potates and vegetables? or $9.00 for a luscious pumpkin, chicken & spinach risotto? - UPDATE: just found out (after ANOTHER fabulous meal - cioppino is to die for - there is a new French chef at Eddie Rickenbacker's - been there around 3-4 months, according to the owner. THAT is why the food is so good.
- Pros: inexpensive, can eat at bar, great chef
- Cons: lighting a bit bright
Hit or miss

At one point, Eddie's was the spot to be. Great service and great drinks. However, their "troubled" owner Norman has a strong impact on the place. The result is that sometimes you have adequate servers and others you have terrible ones. Much of the staff hates working there, unfortunately, though it's such a great looking bar.
If you can get past the sh1tty service, the cool motorcycles, WWII memorablia and trains make you say, "Darn, fat boy has some cool toys!"
- Pros: Fat boy's toys, atmosphere
terrible service, food

Met a friend here for drinks on a Friday night. We were told that we could have table service outside, "no problem"...30 minutes later no server had appeared. We went inside and were all but ignored for another 15 minutes. After we finally got our drinks, they were warm. We ordered a pizza to munch on that had all the flavor of cardboard. I definitely won't return.
