Three floors of literature and superior customer service make this independent retailer a San Francisco favorite.

In Short
Stacey's opened in 1923 as a medical bookseller. Today, their flagship store, conveniently located on Market Street, boasts an inventory of more than 150,000 titles. With a full calendar of free midday author events and a frequent-buyers discount program, the store inspires customer loyalty. More than any independent bookseller in San Francisco, Stacey's carries a great all-around selection of professional books. Find the most up-to-date business and technology titles available on the third floor. On the first floor, staff recommendations and buyer's picks are always on sale.
Way Way Way Above and Beyond

I just had the most incredible customer service experience I have ever had with a store and it was on the phone none the less! I won't be going to Barnes and Noble anymore!! I called looking for a specific book, and it just so happened that there was an individual holding the last copy. So, Bill...bless his heart, took my name and number and told me he'd ring me back when he knew if it was available. Within 5 minutes Bill called me back...the book had been sold but he didn't stop there. He had reserved the book for me at another store. Gave me their name, number, and address! I couldn't believe it. I will go here as often as possible from here on out. Thank you BILL!!
