I’ve been here before and each time, I have had a very pleasant dining experience. On top of that, did you know this restaurant is teaming up with StreetSmart4kids? It’s actually really cool what they’re doing. I just heard about how SS4K is a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged teens stay healthy. They are running their “Dine Out and Donate” campaign here (as well as approx. 70 other restaurants in SF) during October and early November. After having a fabulous dining experience, just fill out the donation form when paying the check (minimum donation $3). This is perfect for people like me, who love to eat out all the time and also like to give back to the community. Check it out for yourself on the StreetSmart4Kids website!

I went to dinner the other night with a friend and ate at this amazing retaurant. It felt as if we were in Europe! We ate outside (next to a heater, as the famous San Francisco Fog was rolling in!) I had a wonderful seafood dish, topped off by the restaurants famous dessert Tiramisu (I figured any restaurant that names itself after the dessert has got to be good, well not only was it good it was GREAT!) We had made reservations on line on "open table" and we were seated almost immediately after arriving at the restaurant. Our waiter was from Italy and that added further charm to our dining experience! He was charming, cute(Yes I flirted a little!) and was very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that is looking for an authentic Italian dining experience. They offer exotic dishes (not your typical Eggplant Parmegan or Spaghetti and meatballs) but REAL northern Italian dishes! Wonderful! I will be back!
Pros: Great Northern Italin food, nice wine list, great people watching, cozy, authentic Italian experience!
Cons: Not a single one!

I have been going to Cafe Tiramisu for nearly 5 years. I go with my boyfriend who LOVES to sit outside(he says it makes it feel as if we are in Europe) that's a stretch, but it is romantic. All or most of the wait staff are foreign (many from Italy) which truly makes for an authentic Italian dinning experience! The Baby back ribs are my personal favorite! and try the tiramisu for dessert!(I figure any restaurant that names itself after that wonderful Italian dessert has got to be good) and it's not only good, it's great! Better than my boyfriend and I had in Italy! Thumbs up to Cafe Tiramisu!
Pros: Great food (consistent!) Great people watching! Romantic atmosphere(on outside)
Cons: Sometimes table not always ready even with a reservation, besides that nothing!

Great ambience outside with candles with GREAT service! Being half Italian, I am very picky about Italian food and I was VERY impressed with their food!!! I've been to so many restaurants in North Beach area of S.F. and cannot believe how Cafe Tiramisu beat them with flavor by a long shot! The rigatoni and the ahi linguine was delicious! Oh and the desserts... I can see why they named the place tiramisu :) I have been bragging to family and friends about this place all weekend! Keep up the great work Cafe Tiramisu!
Pros: Romantic, fun, GREAT FOOD & service
Cons: NONE

You can't really go wrong with any of the restaurants on Belden Place. Wanted to have Italian for dinner with Friends so we chose Cafe Tiramisu. The charm of Belden Place is to be sitting outside of course. The Cafe Tiramisu is no exception. The inside of the restaurant has not particular interest, I would highly recommending making a reservation and asking for an outside table. Great wine selection and good dinner. Our dishes were good but nothing memorable. The proximity of the tables may make it a little uncomfortable for certain but we enjoyed it. When: Dinner on June, 16th 2007
Pros: Outdoor dining, wine selection
Cons: Having to dine inside

With all the bustling noise and excitement at this restaurant, I felt as if I were back in Italy, visiting the charming little eateries in the tiny alleyways of Italy. Fortunately the ambience wasn't the only thing reminiscent of Italy. The service was very friendly and charming (all with a touch of Italian) and the pasta was delightful. I had linguine with clams, zucchini and dungeness crab - everything was so well flavored, light and fresh - I literally finished the plate. yum! I saw other diners feasting on steamed mussels and they looked lovely - i will have to come back and try those next time.
Pros: Great Fun Atmosphere; Delicious Food
Cons: A bit loud and a tight squeeze

The owner recommended steamed mussels as an appetizer. It was very good. My friend and I, whom I brought along for her birthday, could not get over how delicious the spicy tomato sauce was. It smelled wonderful. A big bowl of steamed mussels, full of spices and garlic. The sauce was great to dip bread in. We also had the steamed clams and a pear salad with brie cheese that were both good. The brie cheese combined with the wine dipped pear made for an interesting but tasty treat. We loved that one too! The wild boar gnocchi was extremely fresh and, thankfully, well portioned after we had nearly stuffed ourselved silly with appetizers. But no regrets for these foodies! The gnocchi tasted soft and light, unlike other places, which tend to be hard and chewy. The wild boar did not taste gamey and the sauce was great since it was not too rich and heavy. Very nicely done. My grilled rosemary chicken smelled wonderful, but portions were big, so I had to pack it to make room for dessert. The tiramisu cake was light and fluffy, not too sweet and bitter but just rich enough to know you're eating a wonderfully sinful dessert. Service was great and attentive, despite the place being full on a Thursday night.
Pros: Excellent appetizers, interesting entrees, attentive service and possibly romantic
Cons: Parking, a bit expensive, cramped seating- not good for large groups or kid friendly

Tiramisu is certainly one of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco because of their exquisite food and unique setting. I wanted to impress some of my colleagues in the hotel industry for a business dinner, as they were visiting from out of state two nights ago. I've decided to take them to Tiramisu because this restaurant has always provided me a memorable dining experience. Murphy's Law...we have encountered a minor hiccup with the service that evening. I spoke with the restaurant manager on the side about the situation and he completely turned the experience around for us from being disappointed to being amazed. He wanted to make things right immediately by offering us desserts or wine. I told him it wasn't necessary, as I just wanted him to be cognizant of the experience, so they could improve on it. He approached our table to apologize to everyone and offered us some port wine. No one from our table took his offer, but they all raved about how wonderful the food was. We then waited for our check and when it came back...the waiter said the entire dinner was on the house, compliments of the owner! Our jaw dropped and we couldn't believe it. He didn't have to comp the entire dinner for a minor hiccup. Everyone left the restaurant happy about the food and in shock about the way our minor hiccups were handled! They certainly went way above and beyond our expectations! To those who are in the hotel industry, if you want to impress your guests or clients...I highly recommend Cafe TIRAMISU. My guests and I left with great perception of their service and they made me look good! MM, Claremont Resort and Spa
Pros: EXCELLENT food, WONDERFUL service, NICE/INTIMATE ambience

Great Italian food, ambience, and service. Try as many of the appetizers as you can. They're all fantastic, especially the crab cakes and risotto with scallops. I have eaten there with my girlfriend and with a group of friends as well. Service is attentive but not overbearing.

I came to this restaurant with a friend not expecting anything and was pleasantly surprised. I've been pleased with most restaurants on Belden Place and this one is not a disappointment at all! I was very happy with my ahi tuna - it was cooked to perfection. The pumpkin soup was quite yummy as well...also if you make reservations using open table, you get 20% off your tab. That was definitely a great surprise as I didn't know that coming into the restaurant. The place can get packed so make reservations.
