The Westin hotel's refined lounge is an ultra-comfy, slightly funky gem.

A black-and-white-checkered marble floor extends from the lobby and gives way to a greeting station, flanked by a jester statue climbing a ladder. On the left lies the lounge area, veiled by sheer and red velvet curtains. Here, playing-card art adorns dark-wood walls and the game theme continues on beige carpet, festooned with a spiraling red-and-black design.

Great food, sloppy service

First off, they gave us the wrong menus. They gave each of us "Dinner Menus", but the prices on each of them were slightly different. We asked for new, matching menus and had to wait at least another 10 minutes before they came back.

Our drinks didn't arrive until our main course and they didn't even give us any water until we asked.

It wasn't a particularly busy night as there were many empty tables, but our server was never anywhere to be seen.

The food was great though. They had some interesting assortment of entrees and appetizers.
