Comfortable bed, clean room. This is a nice little hotel. It is very clean and comfortable. The bed was fantastic; I had a good night's sleep. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Excellent Bar. I was thrilled because I've always wanted to check XYZ out and with no surprise, we had a grand time... As we arrived at the restaurant, I was given a long-stem rose for welcome... We were treated like "royals"... Besides the cool ambiance, the food and service are excellent.., our waiter that night, mentioned about the free-chocolates at the bar and oh boy, it was like heaven - what a great way to end our night at XYZ... Highly recommended!!!!

Hotel suprise. Had gone to this restaurant with a friend from out of town. Not so sure this was the place to empress, but its location was the best for the time we had. We were greeted fast by the host who got us a great booth, which I thought was the best table in the restaurant. The funny thing is that the restaurant was full and give any cash to inspire that. The waiter nice , his name was Brad or Brian and got us a great recomendation for wine from the wine buyer, who is also a waiter. The wine service was of a five star restaurant and did not make me feel uncomfortable or intimidated. The waiter explained the menu and offered other alternatives for my friend who had special needs. The food was great, freash and complimented with sauces and spices that I would not normaly think of. My favorit was the duck with the roasted veggies and my friend loved the tasting menue. I had the choclate granache cake and it was too small but rich enought to fill me up hundreds of calories(it was just enoght) The waiter was busy but met our needs and found time to chat with us and gave us a heads up. 50% OFF THE WINE LIST IN ALL OF AUGUST. Not kidding. Great wine list, oooh yeah we will be back. Had great company great service, food and wine. Thank you San Francisco.

Poor service. This place is really nice, don't get me wrong, but the wait staff is so rude. They lost my friend's credit card and were completely unsympathetic about it. He never got it back. They also got mad at another person I came with, because they ordered food from the downstairs lounge and took it upstairs to eat. It?s the same place! Other than that, the drink specials were pretty decent and the atmosphere is gorgeous. I just hate when bartenders and waiters are cocky because they work in a nice place.

fun. this is not my favorite place in the city - but I always end up having a great time here. It has a sort of snooty vibe to it but like I said - everyone ends up having a great night overall so i guess it's worth a visit to judge for yourself.

Fun, trendy, wide variety of people. Not sure if it was just near the convention center and a big techie convention was going on, but the bar had a pretty fun scene every night. The drinks are generous and the bartendars are a friendly...once you're able to get past their standoffish exterior. The decor is trendy with plush couches, contemporary chairs and warm fireplace. Not a bad place after a long day at the convention hall.

Sleek decor and impressive dining next to the SFMOMA in the design-rich W Hotel.. The Scene
The sophisticated, chic interior of this spacious hotel restaurant has been touched up with Carrara marble table tops, mid-century modern hanging lamps, and soft, taupe suede seating. Circular, high-backed booths cocoon couples in intimacy; long tables behind a low dividing wall can be arranged comfortably for large groups. Wood floors, streaming curtains from extraordinarily high ceilings, and windows with a view of Third Street give a wide-open feel.

The Food
Fine dining here under chef Paul Piscopo includes a menu of crowd-pleasers sweetened (often literally) with expensive ingredients. A colorful salad of mizuna greens is topped with candied walnuts and Humboldt Fog goat cheese. Seared Sonoma foie gras is served atop toasted brioche with pickled huckleberries and a splash of red-wine reduction. Pan-roasted salmon comes piping hot with salsify cream and citrus risotto. But be on guard: Desserts can be cloyingly sweet.

Nice Hang Out Place. I love the XYZ bar, the bartenders here are for sure lovely. Barry, Josh, Eric, Ann Marie are my favorite bartenders here. The small bites are good though. Calamari and french fries are things I want all the time here.

A trendy SOMA lobby bar for the rich, the famous and the almost famous.. In Short
W Hotels are notorious nationwide for their über-hip bar scenes and San Francisco's XYZ is no exception. Silver-beaded doors open up into a long rectangular room dominated by an illuminated bar that changes color every few seconds. This is pricey to maintain, so the mixed drinks aren't cheap. Insiders don their blackest black outfit, keep a cell phone pinned to their ear, pretend to be important and fit right in.

Best for Dates. My husband took me for Valentine's dinner at XYZ... I was thrilled because I've always wanted to check XYZ out and with no surprise, we had a grand time... As we arrived at the restaurant, I was given a long-stem rose for welcome... We were treated like "royals"... Besides the cool ambiance, the food and service are excellent... As I thought our night was over, Michael, our waiter that night, mentioned about the free-chocolates at the bar and oh boy, it was like heaven - what a great way to end our night at XYZ...

Highly recommended!!!!
