Great Night Out with the Office

by josh76inLA

My office was in need of some drinks and food. A little team spirit and R&R. Jillian's was recommended to a co-worker, so we decisded to give it a shot. Good thing we did- we reserved some pool tables in the back and watched some sports on a giant wall, showing 13 different games! Service was also great- Needless to say, we all had a blast and my team and I couldn't have selected a better place to hang out! Jillian's gets my vote-

  • Pros: Great sports viewing
  • Cons: Gets pretty busy for big ticket games

awful

by homer123

This place is horrible. If you go here you are going to spend a lot of money and get very little in return. It is way overpriced. Draft beers cost $5.50 each. And I was very skeptical about ordering a chicken sandwich for $12, but I figured at that price it must be huge. I was wrong. It was mostly bread with the smallest, thinnest, skimpiest piece of chicken that barely took up half the surface of the roll. There was not even enough chicken in the sandwich to get some in every bite. There are much better places to go than Jillian's.

bad service

by simonphd

A) i had asked a bartender for his name and he nodded his head no! B) sticking to the first come serve first rule is very important.(after being forced to spend $30 i had been ignored for 25 mins just to receive my card back)C) if a customer doesn't give you a tip and writes bad service on the bill do not come after them and yell at the customer defending yourself! an apoligy is much more appropriate.

  • Pros: none
  • Cons: bad customer servive

Worst food EVER - fried filet mignon

by enoelle

Save yourself the trouble of eating at this place. First of all, it is way overpriced for the quality of the food you get. If you want to eat a good filet mignon, you go to either Ruth's Chris or Boulevard and at least if you spend the money, you will get what it's worth. Actually, any restaurant that serves filet mignon will be better than this place. Our steak cost $32 and tasted so meaty that you could barely chew on it. They didn't add any sauce or flavoring to it and the cut was a very bad quality. In fact, I even doubted it was filet mignon. On top of that, it appeared that the steak was fried and not even broiled. The potatoes were barely cooked and had absolutely no flavor. We couldn't eat it at all and took it to our German Sheppard, who didn't care for it either. That should tell you how bad it is!!!. The waitress was nice - I feel bad for the poor girls because she won't make any tips at that place.

  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Horrible food - way overpriced

A billiards room provides a fun diversion in this huge sports bar and restaurant in the Metreon.

by Contributor

In Short
Jillian's decor reflects the spacious, upscale feel of the mega-mall it's located within. A massive bank of TV monitors hangs over the bar for multiple sporting-events viewing. The dining room is filled with velvet-covered booths and hardwood floors. A huge mirror spans one side of the room, presumably for the attractive 30-somethings to check each other out while sipping top-shelf martinis. This is a bona fide dance club as well, with professional sound system, lighting and DJ booths.

Do NOT Enter

by sunflowerlmg

By far the worst service I've ever received. When we were finally seated (at a table after requesting a booth) and the server took our order, 20 minutes went by without seeing him, bread or our food. We requested help from 3 other staff members (being that our waiter was no where to be found) but unfortunately they too couldn't help us. At the end of the meal we asked to speak to the manager and instead of apologizing he started with excuses and a bunch of b.s. (hmmm, could bad service stem from bad management?)

Over all the food was good (but how hard is it to get pasta right?) yet the service would keep me from ever recommending it and definitely from ever going back.

  • Cons: horrible service

Stay home instead

by sf_seachickenhawk

The big TV is great, if they let you have some control over the remote. Food is okay and rather expensive. It's loud like a warehouse and too big.

Salsa on Fridays is great!

by mariposa_divina

I've never eaten there, nor have I been to their hip-hop nights but salsa dancing on Fridays is off the hook! I've been there three times and I'm going again tonight. It's classy, nice wooden floors for spins, good music, good dancers...the only thing I would change is the price, but maybe that's because I'm cheap. I usually never pay $15 to go anywhere but Jillians is worth it...on a Friday night.

  • Pros: Good salsa dancers, Good music, Nice vibe
  • Cons: Price
