You have to try this one out!

First time I ever went here, the food was fantastic and the service mediocre. So I excused the service and went back again several months later.
Thankfully this time around, I got a much better server. I hope that other one got fired!
But the food speaks for itself and exceeds your wildest expectations. You have to try this one out!
No better crepes to be found outside of Brittany

This a great culinary experience in a unique and fun atmosphere. We arrived about 9:30 on a Friday night and even though the place was full of people having a great time, the bartender took the time to answer my questions and told us to sign in on on the blackboard with my name and number in our party. We grabbed a glass of wine, signed in and observed the activity. There are several areas including the bar and waiting area, an outside dining areea on the side walk, inside tables and a counter that is perfect for observing the construction of the crepes. After a short wait we were given the choice of where we wanted to sit. We chose the counter and enjoyed a great show of the crepe prep. It made your mouth water. I chose a dessert crepe which was served flambe with Grand Marnier.
A real plus is the location just a block and ahalf from the bart station at 16th and Mission or on the 33 bus line The location can also be a negative if you fear eclectic crowds including street charactors. Be Brave, be adventurous and reap the reward of the best crepe outside of France

Ti Couz used to be one of my favorite meeting places for a fresh and healthy meal in the Mission. The location makes it perfect to meet anyone because it's close to BART. However, the last 2 times I've been there, the food was mediocre at best. Salad was kind of plain and the veggies in my crepe were a bit overdone, as if it had been prepared and then sat under a heat lamp for awhile. The wait staff is excellent - attentive and friendly. The two seater bar is a cozy place to have a snack and delicous fruity drink.

Ti couz is incredible. A group of my friends went out one night to eat at the pork store a couple doors down and had dessert at ti couz. We seriously felt like we were in an eating contest. The (dessert) crepes were so delicious! It gets crowded, but it's worth the wait.

I've been a loyal Ti Couz customer for over 10 years. The scallop crepe with seafood sauce has been my staple food after long hours in school then...and still my favorite after long and stressful day at work now. I know that this place is environmentally conscious and "take out" is not accepted unless you bring your own food container (kudos for you on this one!). Tonight at 9 PM was one of those long and stressful day at work so I was nostalgic for my comfort food. I walked 5 blocks carrying my recyclable paper plate with tin foil (you need some kind of cover when walking in the Mission) and a metal bowl for the special salad. I politely ask Sergio (I found out the manager's name after) for a "take out" and gave him my food container. To my surprise, he wouldn't serve me! Sergio said that they are only allowed to do "take out" on a tupperware. I explained to him that I recycle the paper plate and tin foil and I wash my metal bowl. Apparently, this is Ti Couz law and tonight I can not get my scallop with seafood sauce and special salad. I can understand if I got rejected from bringing a plastic plate. Hey Ti Couz, I brought a recyclable container! I'm a person that shop at Rainbow Grocery...when recycling, I separate plastic lid and paper. I make sure to recycle every bit of waste in my household! You have to change your law within reasonable limit or you will lose another loyal customer. By the way, Atlas Cafe's beets sandwich and tuna sandwich was actually a better choice than Ti Couz greasy crepe. They even gave me a brown paper bag for my sandwich. Sergio, the manager, the plate and tin foil I left on the counter, please make sure to put those in the blue bin! Recycle!

Visited this restaurant for the first time last night (weekday). Waited 45 minutes to get a table, which is fine as long as the food is up to expectations. But it was really disappointing. I am puzzled that this place can be rated so highly, when the crepes are really average. I had the ?complete? ? cheese, ham, and egg, and my friend had the mushroom and shrimp. Mine was overcooked and too light. One slice of ham throughout the crepe and I am supposed to be full? Am I the only one who has seen crepes prepared 10x better elsewhere? Okay, the mushroom and shrimp was marginally better, but still nothing remarkable. Maybe the restaurant should remind guests to order 2-3 crepes per person, instead of having all these other ridiculous signs posted all over the place. I strongly encourage people to try this joint out, so you can agree with me what a sad excuse for a restaurant this is. I?m not coming back. Avoir!
Great Food in a Dumpy atmosphere

The food is still great here - always just right in my experience (the other reviews say it all), - but as difficult is it for me to say about one of my favorite places in San Francisco....and I like atmosphere as much as the next person, but wake up proprietors, the place is a dump! The walls haven't seen a paint job in 10 +,years the floors are almost black with ground-in grime and all the furniture and mouldings are chipped and banged and scuffed to within an inch of their lives. If f you sit too near the dish-room in the rear half of the main dining room, it smells like fermenting dishwater. (under the black perforated floor mats) We asked to be moved because of the smell (there were plenty of open tables) - the host was most annoyed - he, by the way, gave us attitude from the moment we walked in. Time for a little routine maintenance and some attention to staff attitudes. Just a paint-job alone would do wonders.
But from the owners point of view, the place is packed most evenings, so why bother? . I will still continue to go, since the food has maintained its level of excellence, but would a little attention to normal upkeep be too much to ask?

If you think crepes can't fill you up you've never eaten here! The crepes are a meal in themselves. Add a small salad appetizer and an ice cream dessert and you'll need a wheelbarrow to leave! This a true gem in the heart of the mission. If you love crepes you'll love Ti Couz.

It Lived Up to My Husband's Hype!

My husband moved from San Francisco to NYC in 1995 and he's been pining for Ti Couz ever since. (He designed their business cards back then.) I was FINALLY introduced to the place in January 2007, and I can see why he missed it so. It has a warm, small-neighborhood feel, high ceilings, and plenty of place to sit. The service was awesome and crepes even more so - we had only two mornings for breakfast during our stay and we made the trek from Fisherman's Wharf (ugh) both times so we could try different crepes. My favorite standard - Crepe Complete - was perfection and I really enjoyed the sausage and cheese on the second visit. The fresh passion fruit juice was oh-so-refreshing and delicious. We wish the place were near us in New York.<p>RUN - don't walk - to the Mission District for a fabulous breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert crepe.

- Cons: There isn't one in lower Manhattan

A quaint, small place with great food. It?s perfect for a light crepe meal or an after sweet dessert. I went for the sausage and mushroom combination and really loved it...as the spices in the sausage were perfect. I like anything made with wheat and this place is really in sync with the crab challenge.
