Founder Joseph Coulombe started this L.A.-based convenience chain 34 years ago. Today, you can get exotic, prepackaged frozen foods, fresh salsas, huge portobello mushrooms, baby artichokes and heirloom tomatoes fresher--and cheaper--than at most supermarkets. Inexpensive meat, fish, coffees and teas, dozens of cheeses, grains and pastas cram the shelves. The frozen section features tasty treats, including barbecue chicken pizzas, mushroom risotto and salmon patties. Beer, wine and liquor sections are stocked with very affordable labels.

If I could have a grocery store I would call it Traders Joe. The staff is knowledgeable, happy and will stop to answer a question. This was my first experience with this grocery store. They have many foods that are ready to pop into the oven . I was jealous we do not have this store within a 100 mile radius. The brands were easy to remember trader Joe. The food was fresh and very well priced. Our grocery cart was filled with wines and delicacies. We only went in for some water....I would recommend this store to the food lover looking for something a little different.. which will be harder to do when your friends also find this haven of calories

Without a doubt the best-run and coolest store in the City. Too popular, for good reason! The staff and management are extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Pretty Flowers at t-riffic prices, check out the trader joes bruchetta, frozen meatballs, 7 layer dip and salmon roll in cheese. Place is a winner, especially for awesome wine prices.

They don't really carry any mainstream products at Trader Joe's. If you want a 12 pack of coke or a box of Frosted Flakes, you'll be out of luck. However, the produce is fresh and their assortment of pre-made foods are almost universally delicious.
