Unsafe for Woman
by ceve33 at Citysearch
I stayed at this hotel for a girls weekend this September 2008. One of us was attacked on the street 20 feet from the front door of the hotel. Security from the hotel and the parking garage did NOTHING. We were lucky we were in a group and could defend ourselves.
- Pros: Clean, nice but small rooms
- Cons: UNSAFE!
Uncomfortable
by emmapal at Citysearch
I stayed for one night while in SF for a party. THe room was so teeny and the bed was horribly uncomfortable. The layout of the room didn't flow. You couldn't have the bathroom door open if you wanted to enter the bathroom; you had to reach from the corner and pull it closed so you could get into the space to open it to go in.... very wierd. Service was fine, the looby was pretty, wouldn't stay again.
- Pros: Cheap.
- Cons: Worst bed ever
Stylish hints of the Mediterranean in a convenient Union Square location.

The Scene
From the moment you arrive, every aspect of this place stands out. When you check in, you're given an opportunity to play blackjack for a free upgrade or other prizes. The stunning decor features a bold fusion of patterns, from Oriental and animal to geometric and striped.
The Details
The bedrooms reflect Spanish and Moroccan influences. Rooms are generously furnished with complimentary high-speed Internet access, two-line cordless phones and fax machines with personal fax numbers. The unique A.C.T. Suite is a miniature of the Geary Theater; it boasts a sitting area that looks like a green room and a bedroom that resembles a stage. Serving eclectic Asian cuisine, Ponzu restaurant is done up with an equally theatrical flair. A social atmosphere is fostered with morning coffee service and an evening wine reception with board games.
