Go for a view somewhere else

I was very disappointed with this restaurant the first time I went, gave it a second chance, and it had not improved at all; they seem to think that, because people come for the view, they don't need to pay attention to anything else. The service is horrendous, which is the main reason I will not go there again. The waiters are not friendly or personable at all, and do not come around to check on you, refill water, see if you need anything, etc. It was difficult to get their attention, and when we did finally flag them down for another glass of wine, it took about 20 minutes and asking twice to get it. The food is mediocre-- tasty, but not imaginative, and nothing special. The atmosphere is nothing special, either-- no personality, not warm, needs serious updating. Sure, the view is great, but if that's what you're looking for, have dinner someplace else and get a view from the Starlight room, Coit Tower, or a myriad of other places. With the horrible service, cheesy atmosphere, and mediocre food, this place is not worth the price and certainly does not deserve your business.
- Pros: The view, IF you get a table by a window.
- Cons: Horrible service, blah ambiance, mediocre food
Worst Dining Experience EVER!

The view is just about THE ONLY quality thing you get. The hostess was on the phone, ignoring my mother until I came up and basically demanded a table. The waiter was inattentive and indicated that she had better things to do. We searched for a table ourselves and 25 mins later we were still waiting for any acknowlegement of our presence. Mind you, this was not peak hour and guests seated next to us had equal luck getting served. The food is priced higher than the quality would justify and the atmosphere is neither clubby nor romantic, it's an awkward mix of both. This restaurant/bar is a tourist trap that survives because it is inside a large hotel and many guests don't know where else to go. For a place that charges this much for food they need to work on their service.
Great view, not much else.

Great view comes with a high price. You can find better quality food for les than a third of the price in this city. The lobster bisque had very little lobster, the steak was tough (Denny's quality), the lamb was also low quality, the sides were average, the service was ok. My guess is that they freeze all their meats.
WAY TO EXPENSIVE!

My wife and I stayed at the hilton and I knew Hotel Restaurants are rarely good and in this case I was so right! The prices are just way to high for the food they serve. The food was ok but 40 for a steak not one that was subpar to start. The waiter was ok and ambiance was like a dorm room. The view was about all it had going. I would not recommend this at all.
Food was aweful!!

This place is great to maybe enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the view, but aweful place for dinner. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday, and had made reservations and mentioned that it was his birthday. They said they would make a note of it and do something special. When we had arrived my name was not even on the list for having made reservations. But it was no problem, the restaurant was empty, and now I know why. I had the salmon and it was very tasteless, as my boyfriend had prawns, and they were also tasteless. I will never come back to this restaurant for dinner, but maybe for a few drinks after a show.
- Pros: Great View
- Cons: REALLY BAD FOOD!
