Reasonably priced accommodations with character.. The Scene
This hotel is extremely popular with tourists on a budget. It is an impressive example of Art Deco style and takes up a corner block near numerous historic landmarks. The San Francisco Symphony Hall, Bill Graham Auditorium and City Hall are all close by. The tone here is both Old World and funky. If you're looking for atmosphere rather than lots of amenities, this is a nice choice.

All 84 rooms are clean, comfortable and equipped with fairly generic hotel furnishings. The on-site Temple Bar & Restaurant is frequented by pre-theater diners, as well as locals who come for the Irish food, pool tables and live music.
