Nice but lame. Markoff inspected our house before we bought it at the end of 2005. The inspector was personable and noted no dry wood termites. But we have many, happy, well-fed termites living under our house. I realize that termites "happen," and wanted to talk to Markoff about doing the termite work. Markoff Stuctural Pest Control, Extremely arrogant business practices. I set up a time to for one of their inspectors for a 1 P.M. inspection. I cancelled at 9:00 am that same day. I told them I wanted to reschedule and I would contact them. We could not do the inspection. I recieved a $400.00 invoice. Which was a surprise, I recieved a very a letter with the invoice that was very arrogant in tone stating that I was told that they needed 24 hour notice. Which was not the case, the secretary made the appt. However, did not explain the 24 hour notice. I had full intention on using them on another property.

Very arrogant business practices, if you use them plan on taking what ever they dish out!! By the way I have been investing in commercial properties for over 10 years and I have dealt with various inspection companies. Most all are very accomadating and do above avg. work.…

Can't tell me if they passed the final city inspection or not. I guess they are in-demand (which I don't understand why) because it is always difficult to get hold of these people. They did some work on my house (with a permit), but were unable to tell me if their work was signed off by the City during the final inspection.

The only reason I realized they may not have gotten the final sign-off from the City was because I found the original job card Markoff had stuck in a corner in my garage, and the final signature for the final inspection was missing.

I called them asking them to verify that the final inspection was done, and they could not verify. Said they would call me back, but I have not heard from them since (it's been 2 weeks).

Avoid d-e-a-l-i-n-g with them if you can. It's a pain in the neck. (Apparently City Search spell check will not let you use the word 'dea-ling' because of some d-r-u-g (another banned word) related stuff. What kind of lame software engineering is that?)…
