Roll into Bike and Roll and see why there is a difference.
by cantgetmembername
The fact of the matter is that there are many companies renting bikes. And although there does not appear to be any difference amongst the companies... there is one major difference indeed: QUALITY. The bikes here are not cheap, made in China ones that some of the other companies are sending people out in. You get what you pay for.
They also have high end bikes for sale.
Check it out.
- Pros: Great Bikes, if you like you can buy!
- Cons: nothing
Bike and Roll is great!
by august26
I have rented bikes from Bike and Roll twice now. And I am very impressed with this shop. They have all the newest model bikes. I have talked with the staff and they informed me that every year they get new bikes, so your always riding this years model bike. Not only do they rent nice equipment, but the staff is very nice too. They have multiple bike routes, with maps. At the end of the day the staff asked how the trip was and how the bike rode. Their prices are very reasonable. When it's time for me to rent another bicycle in the City, I know where I will go again. I would recommend Bike and Roll to anyone who wanted to rent a bike and/or buy bicycle equipment
- Pros: Great bikes, nice staff, easy
Great Experience

Every time I go to Bike and Roll I have a great experience. No matter how busy they are they great you and get the rental process started almost as soon as you walk in the door. The bikes are all new and they are very well maintained. They also have a wide range of bikes from kids bikes and tandems to high end mountain and racing bikes so they can cater to anyones need
- Pros: Fast service, Great route
- Cons: none
Not your average bike rental place!
by DAVE15
Me and my wife work a lot and don't get much time to spend together.
Anyway we had three days in San Francisco.
We been in San Francisco before and rented from an other location in the
Wharf.
Not the same thing as when we rented top notch road bikes from Bike and Roll.
I was also talking to the General Manager and the guy is running a very impressive show.
I also had no idea that they run test programs for Trek Bikes and submit data directly to Trek Laboratories.
Never did I think this from a bike rental store.
We talked for about twenty minutes and the last thing he said was that the company has been making huge changes in the industry
This is simply not your average bike rental shop.
Anyway me and my wife had a blast. We had and unforgettable day and Bike and Roll made this happen for us!
Thank' s a lot guys!!
See you in September!

- Pros: Big time thumbs up!!

I was adventurous this weekend while hosting out of town guests... this was one of many great services i had to write about. Bike and Roll was easy, the staff was really helpful, and they have great bikes! I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. This is by far the best way to see the city, and we were able to see so much more than we would have, had I walked or taken public transportation.
- Pros: Customer Service, bike selection, tours, locations
- Cons: not a thing
