I was at Yoshi's this past Saturday. I was so excited to come in and see Charlie Hunter, but I had no idea what I was in for. My girlfriends and I came in at about 7:30 for our 8pm show and had a drink in the upstairs lounge. It was so cool. We sat over the kitchen and could see all the cooks preparing beautiful food (the cooks are hot too!). We decided to see if we could make a reservation for dinner after the show. The bar itself is loungey, velvet couches, cool lighting. The bartender recomended this greenish martini, I can't remember what it was called, but it was yum! Charlie Hunter, as always, was awesome!! The sound in the club was so great. We had a shrimp tempura appetizer and another round of drinks, the server was super busy, but we felt well taken care of. After the show we went over to the dining room, were promptly seated and wow.... We kind of let the server order for us. The menu is big and I was familiar with all the sushi/seafood items, but a lot of the other traditional Japanese stuff was a little crazy. After having had a couple of cocktails at the show and a great night so far, we decided to go for it--what a fantastic meal, one of the best of my life. Our server was super friendly and knew the menu and sake list really well. We had some awesome sake too. All in all, a great night. We were too stuffed to try dessert, so I'm planning to go back soon
