Truffle Fries!!
by audreyjl at Citysearch
I have been here twice for dinner/drinks and both times were very happy with it. It is a bar so be prepared for it to be super loud - that is annoying - but can be overlooked. The atmosphere is fun, good way to start a friday or saturday night out. They have some good special drinks and their french fries are the bomb. I have tried the truffle parmesan fries and am in love with them - do the skinny fries - not fat. Also their sweet potatoe fries are pretty great as well. The burger was just blah. A friend got the veggie risotto and it was delicious. I will definitely be back and have been referring lots of friends here.
- Pros: fries!
- Cons: very loud
A Breath of Fresh Air in an Otherwise Bad Breath Neighborhood.

Horizon was great...nicely decorated but it's not stuffy...it's actually pretty hip. I went on a Friday and they had a DJ spinning cool ambient music. We had a huge group and the wait staff was fast, courteous, and well-informed. The food was solid too...big high-end burgers and super good sides...I recommend the sweet potato fries. You can skip the garlic fries, though, they're a bit weak.
- Pros: Good DJ, Friendly wait staff, nice decor, late night dining
- Cons: poor garlic fries, parking
Split restaurant, nightclub and events space in North Beach with modern, approachable vibe and friendly staff.
by Joanna Currier at Citysearch
In Short
Sought out mainly for its large-capacity events space--the single level restaurant and club can fit nearly 300 people-- this sexy, dressed-up North Beach nightspot has all the right components for a vibrant urban party. A DJ station and dance floor dominate one side of the club, a sleek restaurant space fills the other, and a neon-lit full bar splits the two. Attitude-free staff accommodate with crowd-pleasing cocktails, share plates, and a popular build-your-own-gourmet-burger menu. Cover charges for the club top out at $15.

MUST HAVE BURGERS!
by qpyummies at Citysearch
After months of watching this place make its transformation. . it's finally open! And you wouldn't believe the way it looks now! Sleek and swanky. . they must have spent a fortune remodeling this place into the well-polished ,upscale lounge it is now. My friends and I often go to Broadway for dinner so when we finally saw the doors of this place open, we knew we had to ditch our reservations and try it. The verdict: Let's just say. . it's been a week and I've already been there twice. ;D When we first walked in we were greeted by the very friendly staff and were given the option to sit at a table or at the bar. .so we opted for the bar, seeing as we were planning on having a few cocktails. Our server was great, explaining everything on the menu. . And without missing a beat, gave us the lowdown on all the SPECIALTY cocktails. I had a Kobe beef burger with Jack cheese on a ciabatta bun with Parmesan Truffle Oil fries. . I don't think I put my burger down once. The beef quality was amazing, the bun fresh and fluffy and the aioli was to die for. With my other free hand I was contently picking away at the magnificent Truffle Oil fries which were the perfect pairing to my meal. and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, the chef recommended dessert. . Cherry Cheesecake, also made in house. Ok, now before I go telling you how amazing this cheesecake was. . you must know, I don't like cheesecake. BUT THIS CHEESECAKE! . . has completely changed my views of all cheesecakes to come. Silky, creamy and absolutely delectable! I don't know what they did or how they did it. . but I sat and finished every last crumb of my little slice of heaven. . and I can promise it will not be my last. At the end of our meal, I was drawn to their signature cucumber martini which I had never seen or heard of before. I took the first sip and after having its refreshing, surprisingly very "cucumbery" aroma wash over my palette. . I was hooked! The bartender OBVIOUSLY knows what he's doing.
